Hi creators!
Got a bit of a long announcement for you today with lots of improvements we've made to resources.
If you're already publishing for other platforms, it's worth porting your creations over to Hytale. Tools are already being released to help with this, like https://hytale-converter.com/ for Minecraft builds. We're excited to be the first marketplace supporting paid Hytale content and can't wait to see this ecosystem grow. Looking forward to seeing what you all publish over the coming days and weeks!

Assets downloaded through our API also benefit from access to our Anti-piracy placeholders allowing creators to identify and report when those assets have been redistributed without authorisation.

Failing to provide buyers what was reasonably expected upon purchase is the primary reason for refunds, and this policy seeks to clarify this expectation as far as it applies to compliance with BuiltByBit's rules. If a Transaction Dispute is made for this reason, a creator may alternatively bring the product into compliance and have it re-published within a reasonable timeframe. Further details are provided within our Resource EULAs wiki.

Due to the lack of issues arising with Minecraft worlds over the years and the undue burden on creators of long standing products, existing Minecraft products will only require updating if it is individually determined that the provided pictures fail to accurately depict the product. All newly published worlds and maps, or worlds and maps created in other games (such as Roblox) are required to be brought into compliance with these new policies by July 14th 2026.

Got a bit of a long announcement for you today with lots of improvements we've made to resources.
You can now publish Hytale resources
We've now opened categories for Hytale modding so creators can start publishing resources. We've got categories for everything our Minecraft creators would expect like plugins, models, and server setups, plus we've split builds into separate categories for worlds and prefabs (essentially schematics). If you're already publishing for other platforms, it's worth porting your creations over to Hytale. Tools are already being released to help with this, like https://hytale-converter.com/ for Minecraft builds. API Assets
For moderation all products sold through our resources system need to be uploaded directly to BuiltByBit rather than distributed through external links. Occasionally, a resource might benefit from the licensed user downloading a portion of the product manually, and downloading other assets associated with the product programmatically, perhaps as part of a DRM system. To support this, we provide the option to upload these assets within the "Advanced" tab of your resource and download them utilising our API.Assets downloaded through our API also benefit from access to our Anti-piracy placeholders allowing creators to identify and report when those assets have been redistributed without authorisation.

Addons in bundles
You can now include addons in bundles! A nice quality of life feature that's been requested quite a bit since the addons update a couple of months ago.Ultimate API + JWTs
We've added a new feature to our Ultimate API that lets you request responses as a signed JSON Web Token (JWT). This allows creators to verify the authenticity of responses and allows for caching our license verification responses so that plugins and other resources can fall back on a recent successful license check in the event of server downtime.Click here to read more about our recommended DRM system designs →
EULA update for refunds
We've extended the support section of our Resource EULAs so that refunds may be requested via a Transaction Dispute on products which are removed by our moderation team for rule violations when the product is removed within 30 days of purchase. This is to prevent "rug-pull" situations where buyers make a purchase fully expecting a rule compliant product only to immediately discover that the product is not what they expected when the purchase was made.Failing to provide buyers what was reasonably expected upon purchase is the primary reason for refunds, and this policy seeks to clarify this expectation as far as it applies to compliance with BuiltByBit's rules. If a Transaction Dispute is made for this reason, a creator may alternatively bring the product into compliance and have it re-published within a reasonable timeframe. Further details are provided within our Resource EULAs wiki.

World and map policies
Due to the large amount of disputes we've seen particularly with Roblox maps depicting only close-ups of finished areas, we've introduced additional policies related to how worlds and maps must be depicted, to ensure buyers are not disappointed when they open their purchased product.Due to the lack of issues arising with Minecraft worlds over the years and the undue burden on creators of long standing products, existing Minecraft products will only require updating if it is individually determined that the provided pictures fail to accurately depict the product. All newly published worlds and maps, or worlds and maps created in other games (such as Roblox) are required to be brought into compliance with these new policies by July 14th 2026.
