I have a server idea but its non profit and I'm broke

So I've had an idea for a full superhero server idea, not based around any gamemode at all. When I was talking to someone about the idea we realised that there were no good ways that the server could make any profit and therefore I dont think anyone would be willing to invest in it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could change this around? I'm willing to explain the idea to anyone If they take it seriously @ WoozyAero#2253

If you don't plan on contributing I highly doubt many people will be inclined to help finance this.

The general rule of thumb is that as long as it doesn't affect gameplay, you can sell it. By far the safest way to do this is through cosmetics, which in my experience are really difficult, but if you can figure it out you'll do great. A server I used to go on (closed now) also sold kits but gave a way to earn them in-game, pretty tricksy but seemed to work.

Most importantly though you need a solid community. Honestly I think the easiest way to do it would be to make the game and sell it to a network, then see if you can get hired as a dev.
