i dont know how u do to calculate all price but if he want good or great quality i think it will be more than 303$ x)
for example a hub with 18 portals it can cost 18$ yes but the hub will be ugly ; if he want a good hub i think it will cost more of 40-50$... so the real question is : Have u the budget to buy good qualities maps ?

he wants quality. This is a VERY reasonable price for quality. A hub with 180 portals for $18 is only possible because he wants it to be like the mineplex one, and that is rather low quality. A decent-quality skywars map would take around an hour to make if you're fast, possibly more. $5 an hour is not exactly unreasonable. The minimum wage in my country for somebody aged 18 is around the same. So making minecraft builds with these prices would yield around the same amount as filling supermarket shelves.
I, for one, know which one I'd choose.
Block hunt maps and super smash mobs maps would require considerably more work, easily exceeding 2 hours per map if you take into account playability as well as prettyness. So those are cheaper still.

I know there are people out there that sell 100x100 maps for $3 or less apiece. I know some of those might even be Ok quality.
But the person that gave those prices is asking less than I would, less than most builders of similar or higher skill would ask.

premade builds on here sell for less because they will never be exactly what the buyer wants.

just a note of curiosity, would you care to private msg me a couple of examples of their work along with the price they ask for it? I want to see the lower extreme of the building market as well as the high extreme, it would help me set my own prices more accurately.
