Edit: After seeing the new rank, I think I’ve come to the conclusion this site is a money grab, maybe it’s a good thing you’re gone because of I were you, I wouldn’t want my name to be attached to this anymore. It’s prime is gone and the good times are fading, hopefully things can get better but Doge really summed it up in his post

There have obviously been good additions (whether you value them is up to you) but MCM is not a money grab. It's 5 years old. It's not a money grab after 5 years. If you don't like it, don't buy it, but don't preach or complain to others. Also, it's always going to be different. Community and staff and systems change, and whether you like it or not, you have to get over it. No, you're not gonna have the old times like you used to but if you have an open mind, maybe you'll still have fun times. And as for having your name attached, I mean as staff, like what doge said, it took MONTHS for a image proxy to be setup. If the money from the rank is going into the site and actually fixing it, then I’m all for it but once again, I have a strong feeling that this is just the beginning of the end, especially if things don’t start getting fixed around here

Couldn't have said this any better myself! I put my word everything Doge has just said is true and I'll add my personal bit too.As someone who had this happen to me as well, I can with 100% confidence say that this will be a good thing for your sake. At first you might feel kinda down about it because it’s something you’ve done for so long and something you are very used to and now it’s changed. You might miss the Slack with everyone and taking care of reports etc. but you will begin to notice that you are more free. You won’t be tied down to this forum anymore and you can spend a lot more time going out, doing the things you like and spending more time with friends and family. It will be a massive weight lifted from your shoulders. That was my experience at least. I ended up having more fun, having more free time, making more money and just enjoying life more overall!
Baumy, don’t see this as a bad thing, it’s exactly the opposite! I’m sure you enjoyed helping people and sorting out the forum, as did I, but ultimately we did volunteerwork for a minecraft forum and got paid a little bit for it! Just think of all you can do now! On top of that, you won’t have to stress over it and you won’t have to deal with toxic 14 year olds cursing you out like a sailor after you warn them for selling a world downloded map or NFA MC account.
Man, it took the upper levels of management 6+ months to get an image proxy setup after an ETA of 24 hours. This forum now is riddled with so many problems and everyone is always told “We are doing X now to fix it!” And it either takes an unreasonable amount of time or it never actually gets solved. Also, remember when every single staff member (us included) signed a word document to ask that BeBosny retain forum ownership but it just got ignored? Yeah, what I’m saying is that you deserve SO much better than this!

thebaum64: We both know what it's like behind the scenes, we were both top runners for most moderation reports resolved back to back (You too Doge!). But you want to know what I respected the most about you? The fact that you would put up a fight and actually have the courage to question the right from the wrong Baum. We both made mistakes here and there, but at least we faced them head on unlike Administration did (and what it seems like still up to this day - now) by dodging them or "beating around the bush". I never felt a need to question your activity after the day I found out about what you were going through on a daily basis (unless I wanted to check up on you or wanted to win a cs match
) and even then, I knew you were built strong seeing your dedication carry on throughout the years over this site. I still remember the day you came to me asking if I needed help when I had things going on in my life, I appreciated it so much but never felt that I expressed that to you directly because I was furious with myself but I just couldn't believe it coming from you. It seems that you always cared more for others than you did for yourself and simply gave more than you received which is such a positive trait however one that can be easily used which is what I feel happened to you just as it did to Doge and I. You have nothing to be sorry for, you never did and you never will.Reflecting back on what Doge said, I myself could relate so so so much as to what to expect. Reflecting on myself and now, there are currently three scam resolvers and the page count goes up to four, 91 active threads total. During my prime time, I worked that section alone and never let the page count raise above two, if not one. Every thread I made positive the pictures were click-viewable (not this handsy pandsy copy/paste to view an image), the accusation was legitimate, the formatting was legible/clear and the comment approvals were appropriate. This wasn't just so I was satisfied, it was so any member that wants to do research on a member has the fullest ability to do their assessment before entering a deal. I'm upset with these so-called "standards" now, if anything -- it has quite clearly gone down in all areas of this site including administration. But you know what, all of that time and effort made me realize that I have the ability to do more than just be staff on a marketplace. After I resigned, I worked an internship with Boeing and am now looking into companies such as Lockheed Martin. My "sight" has opened up so much ever since taking a step back to relax and comeback as a stronger person in the real spinning world. The world is huger than a site like this, the opportunities are endless.
You have a good heart man and I know it may only seem like there's only one direction for you to go but trust me - it's the absolute best. You are bound to have so much more time on your hands and to do anything you wish, to work harder than before and as I know you will, succeed. Honestly, Mick can't run this or handle this situation because it's all the truth and if he says anything he won't have anything to say there's nothing to he can't lie or do anything it's all the truth he's a terrible owner.
While I don’t know what the reasons behind the demotion were specifically, it’s extremely unprofessional to fire/demote someone from a position without giving them the chance to potentially improve upon their performance or at the very least inform them of the reasons surrounding their demotion. Especially if the staff member in question has worked for the site for years.
