Bans for scamming are permanent unless they prove their innocence to the satisfaction of the person that banned them. So either they're banned or they're innocent (if they've been caught). thus that feature has little use.
Ratings are bullshit, but vouch copies are just as bad. Also, mass messaging this on skype just helped you farm ratings so this whole thread is bullshit too.
Another one of these thread? And fucking what, you all need to grow up. If you don't want more of these threads, then stop replying to them.

I fully agree with this as i've seen many hiring threads where you have to have a big vouch list to even be considered, I do most of my deals over skype so I don't use forums much, I look through them for potential jobs but that's it.

I love how most of the people here that are agreeing with this have under 500 ratings... Just had to put it out there.
But this is how I see it:
You get rating along the way with you being on here, it's not easy to get them and it takes a couple of months.
I would never want to lose my ratings cause I put so much freaking time into this site I would not be right to lose all of them,
Some people like Jurhed for example wanted to quit this site. Seeing that he wanted to quit it and he could not sell it he just decided to scam somebody. It happens! Eventhough ratings != rep it still ads to the trustability of the player. You have a smaller change of getting scammed by a reputable member then a new one.
The scam that involved jurhed could have easily been avoided aswell.
Jurhed scammed a user on here for $500 (CSGO KNIFE) and the seller didn't think straight.
He could have put it up on the site OPSKINS.com and it would be safe, eventhough he would have lost around $50 for the "Middleman" on there. It's better to lose $50 then $500 and still recieve the $450.

Is that a fucking joke? It's the easiest thing in the world. This guy got 1/10th of his ratings in a day by posting a worthless thread. The only hard part is sticking around long enough in such a subpar community where over half of the statements are beyond stupid. 4chan has a more friendly, more mature, smarter community than this site. I would have more ratings except I refrain from visiting anymore unless something like a skype message asking me to look at a thread brings me here.. stupidity knows no bounds I guess. Or I am looking for something specific to buy or sell in which case I try to get on and off as quickly as possible. The general discussion though, it's just not worth losing that many brain cells for a green number under your name.
Just to clarify if you haven't picked up the message, my general outrage is directed at the fact this whole site is organized like a high school click where you say dumb shit to get popular instead of a sales and trades forum where your business speaks for you.

"Losing brain cells" isn't a quote from 4chan. Also, is it reddit or 4chan? Reddit is better than 4chan by a bit. Anyway, my argument was "If you thought 4chan was bad you haven't seen this site" so saying go back to 4chan is a pretty stupid response.
Furthermore, I don't like this site, I don't participate for the most part except when I want to directly utilize one of its functions. Saying "go back to reddit" is like telling someone who says fuck youtube to go back to facebook, they aren't the same type of site. Fuck microwaves, so go back to taking showers. But I wouldn't expect anything more coherent as a response, I've learned half the posts are this bad at logic. If you said go back to eBay, or odesk, or minecraftforums or planetminecraft, that would make a lot more fucking sense and I would gladly.
Quit being mad you wasted $10 on a rank for this site, it was a bad investment, it's okay, those types of mistakes happen to all of us at one point or another.
And Goddamn, why did I respond to this, it isn't a real argument, I'm not going to learn anything of substance about the other side except how stupid they are. And I bet everyone agrees with you, whatever your point was. Like I've said many times, buying and selling, that's the only two things worth doing on this site, the rest is beyond bullshit. The ratings on this site are just a popularity contest, ignore them and spend your time on better things, that's my advice.
To be fair, I do see potential, that's why I always come across as so frustrated. It's like someone worked hard to search the mines of the world for the largest golden nugget, found it, ate it, got heavy metal poisoning, was admitted to the hospital, acquired a c. difficile infection while there, was given a fecal transplant, then shit out the golden nugget, and that's this site.
