Increase number of warning points before ban

I think the number of warning points should be increased before your banned for rule violation. I think it should be changed because its so easy to get warning points and 75 just seems so low. I think it should be changed to like 125 or something. I want to hear your opinions and before everyone says "If this is changed it wont be fair to people already banned"

I’ve been on MCM for several years, and accumulated over 3.5k messages, but never received any warning points, despite being a little outspoken from time to time. I personally, wouldn’t consider it easy to get warning points, as long as you’re aware of the rules and know what’s going too far.

To reach 75 warning points, quite a lot of small rule volations / wrong doings, or a few more serious ones would be required.

According to https://www.mc-market.org/wiki/warnings/ advertising a competitor does incur more warning points than most, however its still only 15 points. You’d have to do that 5 times to be banned.

I think the 75 max is fine, I do think ALL warning points should expire after a certain about of time. I have some from when I first started using the forum.

I recall it being set to 75 points because it's already meant to be difficult to reach that many points. If you're breaking enough rules to hit 75 points, that's on you, not the system.

You legit can get of the points from 1 rule, if you’re uninformed than this can be incredibly easy to violate. And don’t say read the rules either, majority of the site’s users don’t do that

I’m going to say it, people should just read the rules. There’s a list of 46 bullet point style rules, which take all of a minute and a half to read through. Well over half the rules are common sense or are rules that most online forums have anyway. If people choose not to take 2 mins have a look through them, and end up breaking rules they didn’t know existed, that’s on them really. The information is there, and easily readable.



I don’t believe the forum should be more lenient with people, allowing them to get away with more, just to save them from having to have a quick look at the rules.

I pity for you if you seriously read all the rules for all online forums you’re on.. Also you have failed to address my point about a rule that has a punishment or about half of the 75 points required to get banned. A single rule violation shouldn’t be so heavy, especially since it does not expire. I could have violated that rule in the first week of the site and it would stick with me for the rest of the time I use the site.
