Hello there MC-Market users. I wanted to introduce myself because I think I have before but it was a while ago and a lot has changed.
I am a university student currently going for a masters in business administration (MBA). I have always been really interested in networking and creating groups of motivated and creative people. In 2015 I created a club/business with a couple IRL and friends I met on Fiverr. We advertised we did everything for businesses from stationary design to SEO setup. Between the 10-12 of us we pretty much had connections to complete anything a business would need. In the beginning we all invested around $200 and began marketing our business from flyers, bandit signs, and cold calling/meetings to Facebook, Instagram, and other online ads. Very quickly we had business and were very busy with completing the commissions. We decided to branch out and offer other freelancers 1099 contracts (or whatever the freelance contract is, I'm not an accountant) with our team to help take on more work.
Fast forward to 2020, I remembered MC-Market as a great resource for when I used to own a couple Minecraft servers named ReaperMC, RoyaleRealms, and a couple other flops. Returning to MC-Market was awesome and allowed us to create a testing grounds for freelancers to be invited to our businesses main stage of business which is the outside world freelancing for brick & mortar businesses. We now have an awesome Discord bot and almost automated process for clients to get matched with verified freelancers.
Of course with all new business / market disruption we faced the usual backlashers, attackers, and weirdos with too much funny and not enough money. But with all money making or attention creation this is all to be expected. It is disheartening to see people speak poorly about things you work hard on or judge every mistake out of spite, but I have definitely dealt with worse over the last 5 years. Whether that be PayPal suspending my account with a substantial amount of money in it for 3 years or dealing with spiteful lunatics. I wouldn't trade the thrill and rewards of owning a business for anything.
If you are interested in networking with me, learning more, or have any questions on how to deal with PayPal's crazy rules, contact me and lets talk. I really really enjoying meeting new people and I 100% believe all situations or relationships end up well when you learn about a person and look past the screen by having a voice conversation. Thank you for reading and I look forward to interacting with you in the future.
