iPhones have a reputation of being slower, but in recent years that has changed. As an Andorid guy, yes, iPhones are fast. However, Androids in that price range are also fast. The difference in speed is extremely small, and even if it would be bigger, it is basically insignificant at this point. A couple years ago, the difference in preformance was also the difference between a smooth experience and a laggy one. Nowadays, you can hardly see any difference between a $300 and a $1200 phone unless you play highly intensive games. (Unpopular opinion?)

He's sort of talking about brand loyalty. Apple could probably charge however much they want for the shittiest phone and people would still buy it because it's Apple and they have pretty much most of the market share for phones.

Sure they charge a lot for their "good phones" but that doesn't mean that all of their phones are good

Apple does have a history of deliberately slowing down older generations of devices and they also have a history of buying their screens from SAMSUNG
1. That’s very true but he is still discrediting apple for what they have, which is incredible hardware.

2. What my point is, is that a good phone nowadays means your coughing up good money.

3. You know Samsung is much more than just phones correct, and how exactly does that matter. Samsung could literally drop their entire line of phones and still be financially rising. The slowing down phones part is scummy I do admit though. But it isn’t like Apple is the only one doing shady things.[DOUBLEPOST=1557694292][/DOUBLEPOST]
My girlfriend loves my Xperia XZ1 Ultra. Android is heavily better, and cheaper. Also, you shouldn’t care about your privacy or information unless you’re doing illegal shit.

Also, you cant proclaim that having an iPhone rather than an Android will give you better chances at a relationship. A hoe who wants your money isn’t a relationship, but I mean if that’s what you want than go ahead.
iPhone =/= Gold digger sir, it’s more of a cultural standard at this point

My mum has an android phone she bought from the dollar store for $20 and it works perfectly fine for what she uses it for, its not as slow as you think it would be and the camera quality is actually pretty good for $20. I'm probably going to get an iPhone 8+ specifically for iOS development otherwise I'd grab an S9 in a heart beat over an X(S,R, etc).

This is true whether you have an iPhone or Android, just know this isn’t the only factor[DOUBLEPOST=1557694461][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ios is made for woman to spend 1000$ on a phone its basically dumbed down android that limits what you can do androids are better if you know what you're doing.

Android is much better regarding performance and style. I use it for almost 6 years and I never had problem with it.

I don't really like the idea of throwing android phones versus iPhones.
If you want to compare something, compare the systems and that is more 1 to 1. Android vs iOS. There are just so many different android phones for different audiences it really isn't something I personally think is comparable.
You have the more premium ones coming from companies such as Samsung and Google but you also have a lot of other companies.
Putting let's say the S10 versus the XS is a better comparison.

I personally prefer iPhones for reasons mentioned above but mainly ecosystem and I prefer iOS.

Fortnite took longer to release on Android's because the specifications of Android's range, with iPhone you're buying virtually the same damn thing for a higher price and a new name truly
It’s because there’s so many damn different Android phones that aren’t even on the same version, from a dev standpoint it should be much simpler releasing your game on iOS

If you think android is better, remember what the sacrifices you make for the lower prices:

  • Inferior CPU
  • Less optimized OS
  • Lower resale value
  • Lower-quality app market
  • Fragmented ecosystem
  • No Apple ecosystem (iMessage, FaceTime, etc)
  • Uncertainty for software support from manufacturer
  • More prone to viruses
  • Bloatware (from manufacturer, carrier, Google)
  • Lack of privacy (At the helm of Google)
1. fair enough, although it's not always the case
2. not really but sure
3. lower price though, so that balances it out
4. lmao no
5. yes
6. and Apple doesn't have an Android ecosystem? You can't say that a bad thing about having Android is that it isn't Apple, that's stupid
7. wdym
8. don't be an idiot and you won't get viruses lmao
9. Apple has just as much as Android.
10. and you think Apple is better?[DOUBLEPOST=1557754812][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, both our Apple's tablets broke on us with little to no damage (one had literally nothing wrong with it, the other had a crack on the top left corner from dropping it on stairs) within a year or two, whereas both my Android tablets have lasted 3+ years, including my current one, which has a left side covered in tape because of how much it's been dropped and cracked.

I’m an Apple user myself and I tend to buy the new phones when they release and the one thing I’ve noticed is that Apple doesn’t really innovate anymore. They release similar phones each year with only a few improvements. The IPhone X was the only change from the norm but now that too has become indifferent.

Well yeah. Excusable, it’s a fold phone, something extraordinary
It isn’t extraordinary if it literally breaks if you take off the screen protector and breaks after 3 days of normal use. $2000 for that piece of junk
