Privacy & Safety — Apple is the only major tech corporation that doesn't track your data, monitor it, or even look at it.

Apple Care (Plus) and Customer Support — Apple's customer support is probably the best I've ever had with a major company. Being able to book an appointment, go in that day, and have your problem looked at and resolved is astonishing, and more companies can learn from this.
I appreciate your post, except these 2 points.

I suppose you could argue that Apple wasn't listening, as it was being outsourced to contracters. Since this news broke, they haulted their practice of contractors listening to recordings.

No worries though, as Google has also been known to record you, for much longer, but at least humans hadn't been listening to it on the other end - https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...oogle-voice-activity-listen-delete-recordings

As for customer support, Apple has some of the most anti-consumer policies in the world.
Just look online concerning their right-to-repair shenanigans.
Also recall batterygate and their initial response of "yeah we did this, get a new phone", until they finally received enough backlash to start offering battery replacements.

First, yeah, there's usually a security break in most companies which they fix immediately, like Apple did. I encourage everyone to turn off "Listen for 'Hey Siri'". Second, AppleCare+ offers free repairs for batteries and did it for me during batterygate.

Samsung pioneered the features, like face id, fingerprint scanners, etc. Apple improved on them. I have had both in the past, with my experience I liked Samsung better, it is better laid out, and more complex. Apple is a lot more simple.

I really use this feature often though. I like using “Type to Siri” as a sort of OS-wide search bar, so when I actually want to talk to Siri (not too often) I use the “Hey Siri” shortcut. On my Mac, since there’s a keyboard, “Type to Siri” is an even more useful feature.

In my opinion, always Android. Considering of the anti-consumer practises Apple has that does not let you repair your devices and can leave you stranded - device-less. As it so happens, all the android phones give you the ability to have the 3.5mm jack unlike iPhone's lineup since the 6S (if I recall correctly) and the ability to add your own storage through SD cards. It's obviously personal preference but I find it abominable that you have to sacrifice your power input for sound input on the latest iPhone's that have ridiculous prices.

Although I do admit iPhone's appeal, whilst it is very behind on security, Apple has been known to have a lot of security against malware and bloatware... But this is about phones that cost roughly twice as much than the average Android phone which the Android phone usually has much better specification for usability. I also do admit that Apple's operating software is optimised well and that's how they're selling products that seem to work fine as desktops and get a whole lot of profit.

I can never trust Apple and I've had an Android phone for years. I've repaired my own sometime through the last few years. I've had my fair experience with a 5S before I had my Android and I had more problems with the 5S than I had the Android.

And I'm glad they did. If you're still using a headphone jack then you're living in the past and are overdue on upgrade. The main advantage of one is if you want to carry around a proprietary pair if your wireless ones die and who even wants to do that? Dongles are also a thing, stick it to the end of your earbuds and suddenly you no longer need the jack to listen.
Dongles and wireless headphone solutions also are somewhat expensive if you want a decent pair. I don't want to buy galaxy buds for $129 or AirPods for $150 or something like PowerBeats for $100 or the pro version of them for even more. Also I like wired stuff because when I'm say riding my bike there'll be no chance that they would fall out[DOUBLEPOST=1565532808][/DOUBLEPOST]
1.) The $999 monitor stand is optional. They have a $200 stand for a reason. The $5000 monitor is for pros, you wont be editing 6k nor viewing 6k for a reason .
2.) Dongles are dongles for a reason. They dongle and ding-a-ling around.
3.) Mac's cater to business' not daily users. So from a casual user Mac sales are going to shit since they dont have it at home anymore. People dont need 100 core cpus. A Mac is a Mac if you need it. The value of the Mac is there. They just isolated it to Pros. Like how they price jumped the 2060 SUPER so budget gamers use the 1660ti and variants.[DOUBLEPOST=1565524430][/DOUBLEPOST]
I live in the Philippines. Most people use Huwawei (lmao), Oppo, Xiaomi, and budget samsungs (a10, a20, a30.. m10, m20...) Android is marketed to low and middle income users. Thats why Samsung has less sales than apple with flagships. Android isnt marketed in high end. Android is superior in sales since not alot make 6 figures. Iphone is better when it comes to performance. Third parties also make more money with iOS since iOS users can spend more money unlike android bois.
That's another feature of their range, where I'm from in the US you usually see people with flagships

?? really isn't, i don't keep my phone in my pocket but rather the side pocket on my bag. Doesn't interfere with how I ride much at all but I just don't want my shit to fall on the sidewalk

If your bag slips, you could fall over. Seems dangerous imho

My bag hasn't slipped and I've been doing that for months. I can also put it inside of my bag

Siri button on Mac > Command + Space
That’s what I’m saying. My shortcut for Siri is Control + Space, and my shortcut for Spotlight is Command + Space.

Siri is much more useful, but only if I type to her. If I have the device set like that, I can never speak to her (which isn’t that bad honestly). So use “Hey Siri” as the trigger for when I just wanna vocally ask something real quick.

I have the touchbar button for Siri :p Also I didn't mean Command + Space, if you hold down Command and slide your finger onto the space button and hold, it toggles Siri. Cute shortcut right there.

This just isn’t true. Like at all.

I’ve never understood this. It has a wire. Wires snag on things. Wires have air resistance and drag. Wires pull the darn things off your head all the time.

IF they slip off your head on a bike, the wired one will still be attached to your person, but it’ll either pull your phone with it or scrap against the concrete and get damaged. Sure, a wireless pair can get lost or sustain even MORE damage when it falls, but it’s a lot less likely to fall in the first place.
