it is 4x more dangerous than the flu, it's infected 531,708 people and killed 24,053, sure 122,203 people have recovered, but that's a 4.5% death rate off those stats . it is much more dangerous than the flu, it may not affect say people of younger ages as much but it is still very bad, it's worth the reaction. we shouldn't be panicking but in my country the US people are acting as if it's nothing bad, now we're #1 in cases. even if you won't suffer bad from it think of all the people who will and how it will effect the hospitals and the economy. it is something not to be taken lightly

You have a point. Italy has 80K cases, I heard some doctors from China went to help Italy and that some of them were still partying and staying in groups, this is why Italy has been way more affected than China. And at this point Romania has 1K of cases which is not that BAD comparing to Italy... but it's still a big number. So yeah you're right, the economy is getting down, "destroyed" and it can kill people, so yeah, in conclusion you're right- IT IS BAD, and I hope they wont end like this school year because I've studied a lot to get better grades this year and I don't think everyone will be happy with freezing this school year.

The main problem with the Corona virus is twofold:
1. It is airborne, meaning that simply washing your hands after touching a person or theoretically unhygienic surfaces is not enough. Simply being near someone infected, even if they're not coughing, can get you infected.
2. It has a long incubation time, meaning it'll take numerous days after infection for any sort of symptoms to start to show. Even then, it's easy to dismiss many of those symptoms. This means people that are infected will fail to notice, and not take precautions. Nor will others notice without a special test, meaning those people will keep going about their daily routine and infecting more people.
Both of these are why the 'social isolation' quarantine has been established in many countries. If people mostly stay indoors, the virus won't survive the trip from an infected person's breath, across the street and into the uninfected house. In addition, they won't move about and risk infecting others while not realizing they themselves are infected.
This and the current and significantly growing lethality rates as well as the speed at which infection is spreading beyond nation infrastructure's ability to deal with it are what makes it more dangerous than most 'routine' virii like the flu in its many forms. That, and there not being a tested and true treatment method yet, though many are in development worldwide.

It really depends from person to person. Your overall state of health at the time of your infection will dictate how bad it is. If you are a chronically ill or immunocompromised individual you are much more likely to suffer to critical effects of the virus such as Acute respiratory distress syndrome. However if you are aged between lets say 8-50, more than likely symptoms will present themselves in the form of a mild-moderate flu and will likely pass within a week or so.

Are they really though? There are no “true” treatment methods to combat any virus, many of which are highly lethal. It always boils down to the same thing: pumping fluids into your body and hoping your immune system can win.
