Is it a good time to start up a Minecraft server?

Hello,

I am looking to start a business now that I am getting older. I used to run minecraft servers and I remember it thriving I just never had the money or knowledge to excel in the industry. Now I am looking for others oppinions, do you think it is a good time/good idea to startup a Minecraft Network or is it a lost cause now?

If executed correctly, a Minecraft Network can be quite good. Does take a lot of time invested into the project, a fair amount of money, and marketing.

What about game modes? I was thinking of designing an MC server along the lines of Battle Royale.

Was thinking maybe a daily shop for cosmetic skins etc.

What are your thoughts on something like that or is it still the old fashion seasoned-based skyblock, prisons, etc.
Also was thinking of maybe trying to start a eSports community for Minecraft

Anything different do your research and it will be a more long term concept because players will not understand it

You definitely have a shot at starting a successful server. It's just a matter of caring about it or not
