Is making a server worth it?

Hey guys I had a question that can have multiple answers, but is making a server in these times worth it? I've owned fairly successful servers in the past that were Faction PVP but this was over the years back when Minecraft was really booming, just curious.

tip: don't waste your time unless your server has something unique or gets a lot of intention magically, and dev's cost a lot

No, making servers is not worth it at all, unless you have a couple thousands to spend.

Forcide didn’t had thousands of dollars and look at it now

No its not worth its way to much effort and u have to pay for it so yeah unless you have a partner that has like a youtube channel with alot of subs

I think you can do it. I know many ppl who earn money by a minecraft server

For the experience yeah, in my case it wasn't worth it money-wise but it was quite a ride that I might or might not end soon
