I currently have the 2080 ti,

Is it worth it to buy for example the 3080?

Let me hear what graphics card you guys have, And if/why you are going to upgrade!

Well, if you sell your 2080ti you will get max 400$.

But 3000 series is lot more better than 2000, but personally i think its not worth for you to buy 3000 series card, since youve already bought 2080ti.

Personally i have 1660ti right now, and im going to upgrade to 3000 series because i bought my card for 350$ so i don't lose that much money.

Pretty much this. The 3000 series is substantially better, but you shouldn't jump when every new generation comes out because you most likely pay at large prices. You may as well use the card until it breaks or starts to decline in any forms of performance (temperature, if fans break or loss of support [warranty, drivers, support from manufacturer]) and then improve.

I think your 2080ti will sell for so little now that it wouldn't be worth selling it. However, if you have some spare change, the 3000's series is tons more efficient and powerful, along with increased rtx performance and cooling. The GDDR6X is defo a pro, along with rtx performance. Also driver support will last longer for 3k series

So, it depends on what games you play and how you like to play them. if you play 4k high detail rtx on, then defo upgrade in my book. If you play 1080p, don't. Simple :)

Well if your hardware now supports a 2080ti then I'd see no problem in upgrading into the rtx3000 series of video cards. But If you're sitting on 6+ year old Motherboard, cpu, Ram, And don't have a 144hz monitor then that would probably affect the performance quite a bit with the new cards.

Even if you can not sell your old card for half the profit, I think the 3070 is very cheap and worth the $500 Price tag on release. But there won't be a huge difference in the specs and benchmarks between your current card and the 3070. However I think if you're wanting to see the best change in performance the 3080 is a good deal.

I plan on upgrading my Mobo and getting the 3070 sometime in the next few weeks.
Hope that gave a little insight.

I am buying either 3070 / 3080 , cannot decide yet tho

R53600 + 2x 8GB 3200 (Dual channel) + B450A PRO MAX + 3070 / 3080 + SSD NVMe + CX 600 should be ok and easy peasy.

I run monitor 1080p 60Hz tho.

Then i would invest in a 144 or 240 first. No reason to buy a good card if you have 60 hz

Dude like a gtx 1060 can run anything at 1080 60fps why are you wasting money on a 3070/3080. So pointless. If you're gonna get a 3070+ atleast get 1440p 144hz

Okay, Each to their own. Let me know if it is worth buying for anything under 144 hz, Might recommend it to my brother who has a 120hz

Raytracing, I like that and aswell I got 4K OLED LG TV, where sometimes I play, will get new gen consoles but would be nice to play there with high fps.

-----Edit-----------

Any good monitor tho ? Preferably 1080p 120+ Hz, I could take a look.

I don't see why you need a 3080 when a 2080ti is working fine

There is a massive difference between a 144hz and a 60hz monitor. I would argue that a monitor should be your main priority as the 1660ti is good enough for most games atm, maybe not on ultra though
