If I were you, I would stick with the 2080 Ti as it is still pretty powerful regardless. I have a very old GPU so I am definitely getting that 3080.

I currently have some GTX 700 Series in build, using it as my "integrated" gpu, I will see if I can find cheap monitor on second hand shops, heh.

But the real question is... are you getting the 3080?

Well, 3080 or 3070, cannot decide because I think about playing on 4k 60hz oled I got, I wish xbox / ps5 would release their price, would help me in decision :D

I would not even think about the 3070 as it's literally only like a hundred bucks cheaper than 3080.

in Europe it is different by 200€+

I think that those types of gpus are only for 4k+ gaming, and only singleplayer AAA games.
As for me I am a mostly FPS gamer(cs:go, call of duty, etc.) and my gtx 1660 manages to get me 144 fps for all the games I play.

full specs: r5 1600 3.8ghz + 16gb ram 3200 + gtx1660 + 144hz acer monitor

If you have a 20 series card, don't upgrade. If you have a 10 series, feel free to upgrade, or a 16 series. Anything better than the 2060 should not upgrade as it's simply not worth it, but people with 1080s and worse, it would make sense to upgrade.

I also have a 2080ti. There’s lots of people saying that it won’t sell for over $400, and that’s completely reasonable. However, the only cases that would really be worthwhile for you to upgrade to a 3000 series is if you went with the 3080 or 3090, and with that being said it’s only a good idea if you run 4k (I run 4k 60hz). People saying to get a higher refresh rate monitor don’t understand that while the differences may be noticeable, 4k is much more noticeable and is really a pleasure to have. I wouldn’t go back to a lower resolution with a lower refresh rate, only 120hz 4k or 144hz 4k...if you don’t have 4k, then there’s no reason to. The 2080ti is extremely powerful at 1440p and 1080p.
Noted, Thank you for the advice. I might buy a 4k soon though (For me second monitor)
