If you are in a hub, explain to me how fly would give you an advantage, there is no game in play. Its just going to the game you want. There is no advantage to gain. I could sell a sharp 500 sword, but if its in a hub, there is no pvp so it gives no advantage, just like the fly. You really dont understand do you?
I do understand your point, but to me it's not EULA compliant.

Mojang probably won't really care much about it, they won't look in details, but for me EULA compliant server is when someone donates he get's a COSMETIC ITEM(trails, hats, etc) OR everyone get's let's say double XP or something similar.

For me and most others, it is where a perk doesnt give an advantage to a player, and on some servers, fly does not.

In a hub server fly would give an advantage to move faster. Allowing players to join games faster than non-donators. (Just an example). It could be also used to show off. "Lol, derp, ur soo poor, u can't fly, but i can! LOL"

If it is only effective in hubs and lobbies, I do not see how it would affect gameplay in any way. Of course, if there are minigames in said lobbies where flight could get an unfair advantage, it needs to be disabled in the appropriate area.[DOUBLEPOST=1466685289][/DOUBLEPOST]

I do not see how being able to join a game faster by a fraction of a second is relevant to gameplay. Especially not if there's usually a delay before playing.
As for the other, that's exactly the point, if not quite as rude. It's cosmetic. Like a woman getting her 40th pair of shoes, or you getting the latest iphone instead of the previous version which works just fine, it is meant to show off.

When is showing off a bit a bad thing. Why do you think people buy trails etc. They are something that other players dont have, but they do. By your logic of saying it isnt because it can be used to show off, would apply to everything, nametags, trails, everything.

Think like this: would you buy it because you would look cool or would you buy it because you want to get better by using it
