Im saying roles like these should not be paid forbut it's their money? That's like getting mad at McDonalds because they pay people to make food for people.
People should work for the server like they love it, badlion, minehq, or any of them dont pay their admins. That's your opinion and I respect it but time=money my friend. If you have a dedicated admin/moderator that spends a great deal of time on your server, you should compensate that person.
It comes down to the server owner. These people make shit loads of money but again, it isn't any of our business who pays who.People should work for the server like they love it, badlion, minehq, or any of them dont pay their admins.
hecks, minehq buys their staff free pizza on fridays. that's how you know jhalt is rich lmaoIt comes down to the server owner. These people make shit loads of money but again, it isn't any of our business who pays who.
That's a good way of putting it.Personally I see there are 2 types of staff: The 'external' and the 'internal'.
External:
Someone who has been paid to come in and only does the job because he is being paid, if there was no money, they would not be there.
Internal:
Someone who pays on the server and has worked their way up through the ranks of the server to get to a position. They don't (nesasary) want money, they are happy to do it.
Exactly, who the heck would want someone external.Personally I see there are 2 types of staff: The 'external' and the 'internal'.
External:
Someone who has been paid to come in and only does the job because he is being paid, if there was no money, they would not be there.
Internal:
Someone who pays on the server and has worked their way up through the ranks of the server to get to a position. They don't (nesasary) want money, they are happy to do it.
More professional, more skill, more experience?Exactly, who the heck would want someone external.
PM mePersonally I would pay my admins but that's only because you need to be a Helper first, then Moderator before getting Admin, during the time of Helper and Moderator you would need to show skill, professionalism and the ability to be part of the team before being paid.
Before I promote people in my team to admin they would need to provide the skill of the 'internal'.
Now, paying them would simply be a sign of good will because Admins are generally expected alot off.
Although my admins are expected for a few things like:
Staff team management.
Recruitment of staff, interviewing.
Unban applications.
Build team management.
Small server side fixes.
You're one of the most passive aggressive people on this site. I rated your "Double your money" thread *cough* scam *cough* funny, and whaddya know? You're rating my posts funny or disagreeing with my responses that did not state anywhere that I thought an administrator does only those 3 things. Please stop being so spiteful.I don't think that you, or many people know what an administrator's function actually is. Unless your administrator is someone like AgentK from Hypixel, a system administrator, an actual administrator, which actually administrates a system, you shouldn't pay that person for simply banning, kicking and muting people lol? Anyone could do that.
No, it should be going towards the server. Having a staff team should be fun and you should be friends with them. But people on here try to treat them like they work for them and manage them. Only Sys Admins and Devs should be paid. For me, if a server is making between $100/$150+ a month, they should be paying their staff. Otherwise the owner is a greedy little tit who expects people to work for free while they make all the money. That is not how the world works. (Could be argued though, some people work below min wage).
Small servers i see no problem with, as they tend to be community focused and don't make a lot of money. Personally i won't any longer waste my time being staff on any server big or small without being paid.
