No, it should be going towards the server. Having a staff team should be fun and you should be friends with them. But people on here try to treat them like they work for them and manage them. Only Sys Admins and Devs should be paid.

I respect your opinion, but to me, it's wrong. Yes, obviously server costs come first before anything else, but after server costs there is likely enough money to pay whatever staff you have if you are a decent size to big server.

Tell me, in real life, would you work for someone for free while they make money from it and you do not?. It's the same thing here more or less.

I pay my staff. You know why? People work for money and People LIKE money. I get 100% better results with my staff members if I pay them. Why would you spend hours on a server every week to then have a dick owner who could care less about you and is making mad money for himself? How is that fair? The server relies on the People and the People only come if there is a high quality staff and server.

Maybe your cheap? If you are thats fine but I wouldn't want to work for you and the only people your gonna find working on your server are idiots who waste time or 12 year olds. If thats how you like to run it so be it.

It's one way to find more dedicated staff-members. The ideal was is to promote fitting, dedicated people from your playerbase, but if you pay them (even if its little, and/or in something other than cash) there is a higher chance they'll stay.
