lol, unranked doesn't mean anything. Autos are only used by Russians.

pro90 doe

@ OP, since you're new to the game, use the pro90. It's a pretty good beginner weapon, and you can run and spray with it. Best pistols are p250 for eco, tec9 for t, and either duelies or five seven for ct. Don't bother using the deagle.
First, don't listen to kids like this. They are the ones who are going to try to troll you and make you think you're stupid. Actually WarOwl pointed out in a recent episode how NA players never use the Autos and when NiP used an auto in one of the first cross-continental pro games the NA players thought it was stupid, but the gun is in the game, so there is a use for it.

Else. Like cor said, your best bet is a non-casual/comp game mode until you learn everything. And don't worry, it will take a while to learn it ALL.

  1. Play lots of Death Match
  2. Learn your sprays for CT side rifles and SMGs, CT side rifles are easier to learn and SMGs are pretty basic. You're never going to need a P90 as a new player because you're not into that specialized of strategies yet and even tho pros use it, you don't.
  3. Watch as much pro footage w/ good commentating about what they are doing, eh just watch WarOwl. He's a GlobalElite (top rank) CS player who has played CS 1.6, Source, and GO and he knows what he is doing. If you watch his videos you will learn strategies, good tips, etc.
  4. Learn your smokes and angles, as well as T sided weapons now. You're going to wanna learn smokes and angles in singleplayer and the T sided weapons in Death Match. The AK is a decently tough weapon to learn to spray, but if you correctly learned to tap shoot with the M4A1-S (which I would still suggest as a tap-shooting player even after the "debuff" that helped tap shooting), you will do decent long range with AKs, as they have a very good first shot.
  5. Start playing some comp, now depending on your schedule you might want to find some people to queue with, but if you can't you're going to have to solo queue, which is playing along with 4 random players. Sometimes it is frustrating, but you have to play through it.
  6. From there just practice, get better at your spray patterns, angles, strategies, etc. That's pretty much it. It's a hard game to master, but if you work at it you can do it.
  7. LASTLY PLEASE DONT GO AND GET A TON OF SKINS AND BET. NO MATTER WHAT ANY KID TELLS YOU, DO NOT BET. DO NOT BET. DO NOT OPEN CASES. DO NOT OPEN CASES. THAT IS THE WORST WAY FOR YOU TO LOSE MONEY AND WANT TO QUIT CSGO. If you want skins, simply save the money or skins you would use for cases/betting and once you have enough, sell all your skins and get one skin you really want, for example, a knife. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

Rank? Let's 1v1 if you think you're so good.
I'm unranked, actually. Just got back into the game after a break. I'm not saying I'm good, I'm saying don't try to troll new players.

The "A-VE-P" is the "AWP", you might wanna get used to that.

Communication is key to competitive, for casual it's do whatever you want.

Just play and you'll get better. Play a lot and get better before trying to get ranked, you do *not* want to get stuck in silver.

If you get a full communicating team, you've essentially got 100x better chances at winning.

Watch professional streamers play, you can learn a lot even if you're not into watching gaming videos.

As for autosnipers, they're annoying as hell but they're also expensive and it's easy to sneak up and take out an autosniper, so it's annoying to die from them but they always die. The negev, people get annoyed by, but I can easily take out spraying negev's with an AK, sometimes even if they are good with it and control the recoil properly.

SMGs are basic to start with. P90 is often referred to as the 'noob gun' by some. They're in the game for a reason though, it's nice to practice with, not much recoil. The AK-47 has a lot of recoil but the tip is just to pull down, you'll get headshots so easily and be taking people out. AK-47 is the gun I do best with right now. M4A1-S and M4A4 are some good CT guns, M4A4 has some more recoil I think, I normally stick with the M4A1-S so I'm not that sure with the A4.

When you're playing comp, find some cool players with headsets that don't flame each other and communicate. Add them and ask them if they want to play. No, it's not a 'sad' thing to do, some think it is. More often than not they'll say yes, and now you're playing with someone near your own rank. That's cool, communicate.

Win, win, win. Winning helps your points more than anything else. I'm not an expert on how CS:GO ranking works and the elo system, but I believe losing decreases your points towards your elo a lot or they don't count at all. Winning though gives you a lot of points. You can be really good and be stuck in GN2, but someone could be supreme and be worse than you. Winning is key, so communicate, rotate, this one is a biggie: listen to your team. It's so annoying when people don't listen.

Watch out for smurfs if you're stuck in GN1 - GNM. They get a lot of smurfs. Silver gets a few too but usually smurfs find it harder to get themselves into silver, they don't have the patience. MG has a number as well. Smurfs will make your game go upside down, but not impossible, just play as a team. I was playing with a smurf and now we're friends, he's a global elite and damn he's good, he wipes out teams quickly even in global elite and he streams, he's been playing a long time though. Adding smurfs might help you rank up, but don't rank up too high and be playing against people you have no chance with.
