My suggestion would be to simply separate the rating and vouch system. Have vouches be limited so that you can only give out a few of those per day, say maybe 5 for regular members and 10 for premium members, and then have the rest of the reputation points be unlimited, or limited based on whether or not you are premium.
The vouches could then be displayed underneath the ratings, shifting the "Generous" and such medals downwards, given that there's lots of unused real-estate in that area. This allows people to see a person's number of vouches at a simple glance, rather than having to go to their profile and look, and provides a far more effective method of determining a person's reputation than looking at their rating does.
Here is a mock up of this:

If one blames the current rating system issues entirely on Montyburly and I, they would be foolish for doing so given that neither Montyburly nor I have given out many vouch ratings (as you may see evidence of on our account pages). Basing your opinion on whether or not someone is trusted off of their ratings has never seemed wise to me - as someone may have accumulated all of those ratings in the current system without having done a single business transaction.
This system, I believe, is the most effective method of solving all of the issues the rating system currently has while making all sides of the argument happy.
Haha, you can't rate anymore.
we are happy with how this has been dealt with thanks
>get alts
>get on mcm
>start vouching all your stuff
>500+ vouches
>trusted
>scam
>???
>Profit!
>GREENTEXT first of all. This doesn't really solve the problem at all, and you pretending like it does proves that you were never actually concerned about the rate boosting issue. I am sure people like Nighterblde would agree this is very much an issue, and that people making alt accounts and rate boosting their posts, or getting their friends to come and rate boost them, is a very common thing on this forum.
I suggested a limit on the vouches, how is that any different at all from the system you proposed in your OP? The only difference is that my system separates the vouches from the rest of the rating system, which makes sense because vouches are the only rating that really matters. The rest of the ratings are entirely subjective.

I think this is a really good idea and should seriously be considered. The rating system as it is has always been flawed, before narakavi and I even joined MC-Market. You guys claim that ratings determine trustworthiness, when they do not at all. Posts like thisMy suggestion would be to simply separate the rating and vouch system. get multiple likes when they have nothing at all to do with business. How should ItsMonkey's post about his computer set up determine the amount of trust people put into him for business transactions? This is just one example of many posts that get rated like this. Having a separate rating system for ratings like 'funny', 'like', etc. for casual posts like the one featured in the picture above would be perfect. Then having a different vouch rating system would help people determine who to trust when making business transactions. Having a limit of 5 or 10 vouches a day would prevent vouch spamming or vouch farming. I don't see any harm in rating posts like ItsMonkey's above 'funny' because it's meant to be taken lightly and funny. Having a separate system should solve everyone's problems.
I have only given out a handful of vouches, as I stated before. And if everyone was limited to 5 vouches a day, spamming them, as I said, would not be possible. You and Nara spam those but you also use "informative" and "vouch" on things such as "sup dood". not real post, just an example
Thank you for proving that all my ratings are not just from narakavi.Don't give people shit for stupid posts and getting ratings:

For every post you make you get 1.5 ratings. And i'm going out on a limb here and saying that 1 out of all those 1.5 posts narakvai is 1 of them.
