Hi -

So I just entered “Premade builds” category only to see 75% of a page filled up with 1 person posting separate builds... Only to have another thread where they advertise their store / those projects.

If a user is selling multiple (Example: 5) non-exclusive builds, or even semi-exclusive - they should just have 1 thread for all the builds. Not 5 billion.

This would clean the category up very nicely. You don’t see Senior Team posting new threads for each build do you?

This has already been suggested and unfortunately denied by Mick in the past, the reason "why", is very questionable in my opinion tho, but since he always closes the suggestion thread there is no way to question his decision even if you wanted to.

There used to be a Tag "Shop" and most of the sellers grouped their offers in one thread under this Tag but hey, if I recall correctly it was "messy" according to Mick so the tag was removed and we have been waiting for promised changes ever since ...probably a few years already.

At one point I was very tempted to split all my builds in separate threads (around 35-40) and "bump" all of them each evening to make a point but it would also be very disrespectful towards other sellers who try to obit this unwritten rule not to spam Premade Builds section... and to be completely honest I have lost all hope and interest in trying to improve or even using Mc-Market much anymore.

In my opinion users who post exclusive builds for sale should be able to have separate threads for each, while non-exclusive builds should all be in 1 thread only no matter how many non-exclusive builds the guy has. This causes too much spam.

There should certainly be a rule with non-exclusive builds. I could easily make 400 different posts with one for each build I sell and gain a ton of sales; upping them regularly throughout the day - the only thing stopping me is that it's just morally not right. Allowing for people to create so many different threads just floods out other people's work - especially newer creators.

I know Mick's replied to the same suggestion in the past saying:
If a user is offering multiple services, as long as they all follow our rules I don't understand why we should put them at a disadvantage compared to creators who have only ever released one product.

If you're offering 20 builds for sale, then I have no problem with you creating 20 threads for those builds and bumping them daily.
The issue is that letting people make so many threads and up them all is just making the market even more difficult to get into. People who have built up a larger collection of builds can just regularly flood the forums section; hiding a bunch of threads from creators who may not be as well known anyway - or have as large of a product portfolio to be advertising. Clearly it would be so much nicer if the first few pages of the pre-made builds section were all by different users; allowing for more people to be seen without having to scroll through pages to stop viewing the same creators work.

It's not difficult at all to just put all of your builds onto one thread. I don't get why it has to remain a unspoken moral code; and can't just be turnt into a rule - as it would benefit so many more people than allowing spam does. The only thing allowing multiple threads does is allow for people to gain sales and brand recognition through spamming the forums. Surely if their work is good enough there should be no need for multiple threads.
