We can offer up to $50 up front in promise of percentage of sales, etc. Most of our money has been spent towards are 12 core, 32gb hardware. We have some pretty large partners and expect 200-800 players.

$50 upfront still is nothing for 500-800 players, developers are going to expect hundreds if not thousands from you for full timeI don't mean to offend anyone with this.

It’s not fishy, they just expect us to be like those free devs off MCServerList who only know how to do config and beg for perms to abuse
Yea ik, but it could also just be a random kid who just wants free plugins and doesn't even have more than 2 players on his server. If he really had so many players, then he could actually pay a dev.
Most definitely, these numbers are more of a boast to sell the idea to a new and naïve developer
I never said I have hundreds of players. I said I have some big partners and therefore expect many players. I also said I'll send proof if you don't believe me. Neither of you has reached out to me in dms.
Believe it or not, getting partners to be interested in your server, doesn't always require money. In fact, I haven't paid for any partners. We're working on new game modes.
They joined because I'm offering game modes they're interested in.
I have spent most of the budget on a dedicated server machine.
I'm also not a "kid" that thinks that wants some people to "config" files for me. I have spent over 9 months on this server, to get the player base I have so far.
I've also been very clear. If you're a developer that wants 100 bucks for a plugin and then dip, this is not for you. I'm looking for someone that enjoys plugin development, sees potential in the server, and wants to join in on the project.

even if you are expecting 500-800 players, you shouldnt be paying devs only $50 upfront for FULL TIME.[DOUBLEPOST=1600294137][/DOUBLEPOST]also your response defending yourself is longer than the post itself, when you should be focusing on putting payment and info there
I never made any claims, I just said it's fishy you expect at least 200-800 players (which can easily make you more than enough money to live on) yet you can't even invest (which just shows me you're not confident in your claims) and pay your developers well. If people want to slave away to make bad plugins for free then have at it. I do believe people will slave away but you tell me to move yet you're the one that keeps replying? take your own advice, I'm just saying this is a horrible and very fishy offer no one should take.
