Looking for an active developer to work on Factions

Hi there!

I'm a manager from OG-Network. Might have heard of it, might not.

But to get to the point:
We have a new iteration of our Factions gamemode coming soon and we need some extra hands to work on some essential bug fixes and updates. We do have a current team of developers, but ideally we'd need someone that can prioritise this project.

We're looking for someone with the following:
  • Can work well in a team
  • Can dedicate a lot of time to our list of bugs and improvements
  • Work on existing codebases
  • Work with NMS
  • Willing to work to tight deadlines
  • Have great Java knowledge
  • Be willing and able to sign a contract
  • Not required, but preferred: Have Factions gamemode knowledge.

Some background:
We are working on a RPG style Factions gamemode. It has three different "civilisations" which give players different buffs depending on what they choose. Our comp season is determined by how many "faction cores" are destroyed by a) the civilisation, b) the top factions. Our codebase used a lot of forked software (FactionsUUID primarily) and our own inhouse plugins. You will be working across the codebase working on different fixes and improvements. The codebase is quite old and outdated, with some unconventional practices; we are in the process of doing a massive overhaul on this. We simply need someone to help get through a backlog of issues and help with creating the new season.

This is a paid and on-conract position. You generally make your own price for these things, but we do have a budget to stick to. Ideally, we're looking in the ballpark of 10-17USD per hour, though this can be discussed with the owners.
