If you are planning on running a large network, the least of your concerns should be price. By the time you have a decent size server 30+ players you will more than likely be on a dedicated server and earning a decent amount in profit per month. I advise not looking to save money by using a budget provider for $2/GB when you should be worrying about, CPU, Network and overselling to make sure you do not lose players from a lagging server. With that being said if you plan to run multiple games, your best bet may be to find a low priced dedicated server where you have control over everything. You want cheap that will give you the most problems you can ever have, over selling, lack of support, and old hardware (less performance) They could sell you a 10 GB server for like $20 that will be extremely terrible.
Or do you want to pay a good reliable hosting company and get something that's just as good with no problems, and you can buy a 5-6 GB server for the same price and it will run just as good as the other host.
Just because a host is giving out cheaper ram, doesn't mean its better.
and honestly, if you have a good community, you should make enough donations to cover a host over $2/GB
