Looking for mature and active staff for new server

Hey guys in a few days me and a pal of mine are starting an FTB infinity server and we are looking to get to know some people with the following or one of these skills

• maturity able to act under pressure
• able to build pleasing structures
• a good community worker
• a helpful and friendly staff member over all

so if you are interested in working in a great staff team here are positions open

• helper
• builder
• head positions (this will be decided by how you preform as a staff member)
• moderator(possibly right now it is a big maybe as we already have a moderator)
• plugin manager (will require you show background in coding and or plugins)

as money is not a thing that comes easy to us with our current jobs it would have to be a much later thing were the server pays for itself and we have a surplus left over after that what we are doing right now is what are budgets allowed of saved up money over a few mounths

I've said this to so many people on this forum, if you can't afford to be unique then don't make a server. There's so many servers of every type especially the overused ones that aren't going to be successful with basic builds and public non-unique plugins. People don't work for free, especially anyone of near decent quality. You can't guarantee your server will be able to "pay for itself" or get any donations at all, so no one wants to spend their time and effort working for you for free, and then eventually not get anything in return.

Like i said before the surplus if there is influx will be paid but this is a request i am not hiring a freelancer for pay this is something that is volunteer work which gives experience and looks good on resumes so asking to be paid for a service i am physically incapable of paying for is not going to get us anywhere i understand that you have a service that you offer to be payed for but right now that service is out of our budget this is for people who enjoy helping others and people who enjoy community work in general i will say this payment is something that has to be earned by both parties the one paying and the one being paid if the one paying doesn't have enough to pay the other party it just won't work out so please save what are saying for people who have the money vs those who don't.

Finally I understand that quality requires some level of payment but when you have people who you learn to trust and know can work efficiently before the server is set up you already have a good set up we haven't paid for the service yet as we are putting the volunteers through training to gain experience so in the end money can buy quality but people who stick with training and don't quit the position because it doesn't pay will end up being at least decent enough to help run the server.

I hate to make you're dreams become memes... but be real my dude.. To make money, you have to start with money.
You're server isn't going to make enough money to have a profit if you dont have money to start. Make sense?
You can have the best server ever created, (which can't be done without money spent, but anyway) but without paid advertisements and money spent, it aint going anywhere.

Anyway hope you realize that making a MC server is supposed to be fun, not for profit... well unless you're serious about it and have money to spend

this is not for profit by any means i already have a decent job to keep the necessities and just a little bit extra really the most that i would get out of this for me is a bit more experience with communities plus it was all agreed any profits (if they are made on the server.. like you said just being real) would go to keeping the server up but with my job putting in a bonus i would have enough money to put to keep it up for 3-6(6 if the IRS doesn't take half of it 3 is estimate factoring in a taxes and 75% take away from the IRS) but advertisements are useful but the fact of the matter is even if you have a good amount of money to start with most of the advertisements on these websites run off of a bidding system and is a risk unless you have some pretty deep pockets (just saying servers that have been up for awhile put thousands towards these things) my argument is that while it might not be heard within a month or 2 if we put enough work into it someone will hear something at the very least now not to say that it will be a game changer but these things are meant for fun unless you are investing everything you have into the server as mentioned before this comes out of what i and my friend could budget for the moment (now before you start saying what i said originally about how it took a few months to get the money my company recently received a large influx of money and within a week is giving lowest pay raises unless they just got accepted into the company and higher pay bonuses) but yeah in the end there is reality that not all things work out but it's worth effort even if it's just for fun there is the possibility that we could get lucky and there is a possibility it doesn't work out but as many people have told us all before you never know till you try.

I understand, but this is a marketplace, people don't come here to offer free work to people, many people that do business here do not have a real job and their service is how they make money and they wouldn't want to waste their time doing work for free when they could have used that time to make money.
