Hello!
*NOTE* This is NOT a legally binding contract. You will be able to leave the team with only a sad face as punishment. We do, however, request that you finish a current project or prepare it to be passed to another developer before doing so.
As the title suggests, I'm looking for a paid developer. As the title doesn't suggest, well.......I can't offer tremendous amounts of payment. As it stands, my network only gets up to 10 players because it's not really done. A little about the network, we go by the name "XPCraft" and our network currency is "XP". We run by one motto alone: ONLY customized games, none of that cookie-cutter crap. We're sick of the same old factions, survival, prison, etc. servers and strive to bring something new to the table in every front, whether it's completely new or a new take on a classic. Some sneak peeks at our games (just to give you an idea of what we do):
- Shift: A unique take on Skywars. Only ores, logs, and podzol can be mined, instantly granting materials and regenerating in ~10 seconds. Movement between islands is done through shifting platforms moving every 12 ticks or so. The main goal is not LMS, but to mine the hanging block in the middle island the most within the game's time limit.
- Creative: Built-in build battles that can be started at any time with top place finishes recorded and glorified. A multi-tiered 7-rank system that allows access to progressively larger plot worlds as you move along. Use voxelsniper within your plots (yes we made that work)! High ranks can be invited to the build team with payment and staff opportunities.
- Survival: 2 modes - Legacy and Legends. Legacys offers a semi-RPG standpoint while sticking more true to the vanilla setup. Legends takes hardcore survival, shoves a firecracker up its bum and launches it from a cannon into the sun. You will NOT survive, which is why your current survival time is publicly displayed with your name. Bonus features: Survive long enough, and tougher, stronger mobs HUNT...YOU...DOWN. Head north to fight the most treacherous creatures ever created. Learn the secret of the Hellbringer's Mansion and what truly happened to the Survival Legends world.
*Phew* Now that that's out of the way, let's talk a bit less about the WHO and more about the HOW (you get paid). Payments will generally be for gamemode development, with general bug fixing (even if you didn't code it) included as well.
Gamemode Development: Devs are expected to code planned gamemodes (we have 73 pages of them so you'll be busy) in a timely fashion.
- If you don't think you can handle the project, DON'T TAKE IT
- If it requires learning a new bit of code, that's fine IF YOU CAN MEET OUR DEADLINES.
- You will be paid for your work on the gamemode. Each game will have a set budget so you can decide how much you want to commit. We currently have 1-2 other devs that can work hand in hand and take over if you're not available or need to step away for a while.
- For each game, we request a source code so that other future devs can make changes or integrations.
- Generally speaking, we can afford anywhere from $25-300 depending on gamemode size (just to give you an idea, but honestly it varies too much).
Bug Fixing: When things get happening, so does s***. If we need minor tweaking to plugins or bug fixes, we'd appreciate help.
- Generally speaking, payment will be based on how many issues that we've encountered that you've crossed off our list.
Please have your portfolios ready!
Thanks!
