Hello, I’m Matt.
Today I’m coming to MCM to ask for one or two people who would like to open a server hosting company with me. Please add my Discord if interested.

When i had a hosting company i started with less then hundred dollars i sold it for around 350 it's very possible to make a decent hosting company. Write out a business plan before anything. It's a very interesting experience.

So most of the guys who commented that you needed a very large amount never really were apart of a real registered company.

I very much dislike how ZippyHost has been running, however, in this case, I must say that the ceo is right.

Go for it. Have a NICE budget. Do some calculations. You dont need 3k to be successful.

Heck, most "companies" in quotes probaly had less then 1k to start off with.
So, for the owned hardware thing.

For anyone asking, OWNED IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER.

Buying a server with the same performance as an OVH server and co-locate it is easily surpassing many budgets. That's OK. You have one server then and alot of bills to pay off that. Would take a year to get it paid back, right?.

However, don't make a host that you see wont survive. I would get all stuff needed, make the calculations and see how long you could run with 0 income. After that, you do some calculations on how much income you need to break even, and finally, making profit.

Just my two cents really, from someone who runs a company that does not live of doing MC servers :).

I don't worth/use failing companies its that $1k won't get him to the top..
You may be right, but if he has 1K to invest then can keep investing more then he'll be set. 1k itself without sales won't get you too far. I've started businesses with less than 1k and grew sales to support the growth. With the way he's planning on doing it, he can purchase some hardware at a minimum and resell then use the money he gained to put towards the business. You don't need a ton of money to get started if you do it correctly.
