Looking for volunteer web designers/developers for Prismarine

Prismarine is a new website, created by tugg and I, with the aim of educating new Minecraft admins and community owners.
Our content is provided for free, and we plan on releasing posts at least weekly.

We're looking for web developers and designers to volunteer development of the website theme. It's based on Casper (The default Ghost CMS theme) and the website runs on Ghost. Whether you're a new web developer or experienced, your contributions would be greatly appreciated. We have a page about joining the team, on the website, which you can read here.
Furthermore, if you'd like to help in a different way, we're also looking for writers to create content for the site. A forum post will be up soon.

Development is usually not free... Good luck...

I'm aware, and I completely understand that people want to charge for their services.
I do think that building with us would be great to build a portfolio though

Kind of true, however, it's usually possible to find at least some kind of internship or smaller scale project that will earn you at least a few hundred dollars... To me, this is kinda pathetic trying to find people to do something for you for free... At the end, they can build the same thing for free without you, why would anybody choose to make a website like this for you, if they can make it for themselves and still, in the worst case scenario "put something in their portfolio"... Please don't feel offended, but this is just how things are, and I believe most of the people would agree. An exception is if you're a huge company, which likely you're not.

Fair enough, we don't make any money or plan to profit, and have barely any starting funds, so hiring people is almost impossible in our situation.
