Lost PM's and Reputation?

So I just got on here, and I see that I have lost all my private messages and some of my reputation. Any way I can get it back?

I lost like 2 entire conversations and a ton of messages with Keyser Soze. I lost some rep, but not much at all. (not like there was much to lose)

I'm put in a very dangerous situation. I had so many PM's regarding MM services. I could EASILY be blamed for scamming a user now. This is only going to make users angrier and more scams will come from this.

Honestly they are locking threads like this now. Good to know they care more about suppressing what has happened then fixing the issue!

I also had multiple PMs with buyers and it's extremely frustrating to have all of them deleted.

Well do you guys really expects to have "bulletproof" data array? Everywhere you go online will ALWAYS have disclaimers against data loss. The solution?

Backup, Backup, and Backup your data or else your guys are not implying your data are indeed important to you. You should have your data in at least one or more remote network(s) for best results. I have a buyer of my PMs stored on my local machine as well as my self servicing myself with the FTP service that I offers.

Moral of this story, don't 100% relies on any online place to keep your records safe and store them REMOTELY elsewhere to prevent personal damages.

It's a fucking Xenforo install, not rocket surgery. They should be backing up the database before doing anything anyhow. The fact that rep is missing, it looks like they did another one of their fabulous unnecessary cache purges.[DOUBLEPOST=1453691824,1453691696][/DOUBLEPOST]

We don't know the official reason for this yet. It may not be MCM's fault.

I'm pretty tired of MCM's errors, but I'm just saying we shouldn't jump to conclusions yet.

Site was down for updates. Either way, regardless of who's fault. If they want to run a proper community, they should always be running incremental backups, just in case something does happen.

We shouldn't be required to save our PMS and take backups because it isn't hard for MCM to make sure they're not all removed..

While I agrees they should taken more of a responsibly as you stated, at the same time users should take their extra precaution as well.
