Okay, lets be real here, most of us have atleast one warning..
I am getting a tad upset that my warnings can't be removed at one point. Like everyone makes mistakes, that is what for a warning is for, they read it over, understand it, but can't there be an expiry date for each one.
This doesn't include the resource stuff etc. As Ivain stated!

Comment below thoughts.

I agree, I made some mistakes a year ago and is still paying the price. I believe this should not be the case but then again I did break a major rule.

Lol fair enough, but even if it was an accident, give everyone a second chance, they do it again, then they know there is no change.

With the new punishment system in place, permanent warnings shouldn't really a thing, if permanent bans are also exceptionally difficult to get.

That being said, I don't think this should be completely removed. Any existing warnings that are permanent from 12+ months ago should be removable, and any warnings that would be permanent should be a long time, like 12 months.

I'll put down the points for disagreeing

According to a dictionary, the warning is: a statement or event that warns of something or that serves as a cautionary example "
a warning is given when you make break a rule, (read all the warning wiki page.) Some warnings expire, and some don't. You just won't make the same mistake again since you got warned. if there was no warning system, people would just repeat the same offense again and again as they know it will expire...

There can be an expiration but at the expense of making a lowering of the number of points required for a suspend or a ban. From 60 to 20. Or they can issue more points and add a date.

Offenses worth 3 points can have a warning period of 2 months to 3 months, anything greater than 5 can be applied to 6 months.

In conclusion
It's not a bad idea but, but the whole point of being warned is to make sure you don't make the same mistake again. These are my points if you disagree tell me why.

oofing
because after 5 months of a warning being there, we see it everyday. Its like WE GET THE POINT.

I totally agree with the idea however if someone has constantly disregarded the rules I don't think this should be the case. Pretty much warnings should only be removed if you actually deserve it, if you have a rep over 12 months but have had constant warnings for the 12 months you shouldn't deserve to have it removed, a couple would be fine but if you got a lot it should be x months from your most recent of the constant warnings. Not sure if this is understandable
Yes agreed.

It serves as a reminder, of why we should not repeat it. The only reason a person would want the warnings to be removed if they are close to being banned, or suspended. I have 5 warning points for making the other account when MCM did not get emails to work. I learned to be patient and now can wait for a for a month without having access to a forum.

Grammarly underlined the whole sentence, and I as well can not understand what you're trying to say.

oofing
If they mess up and get warnings first time, they there is an expiration date.

second time they do it, no expiration.

I agree, I was given a warning a while ago for something that was not my fault because I was lied to. They should expire at least for first offences. I myself have learned my lesson as I am forced to see that warning tab every single day.
