Okay, lets be real here, most of us have atleast one warning..
I am getting a tad upset that my warnings can't be removed at one point. Like everyone makes mistakes, that is what for a warning is for, they read it over, understand it, but can't there be an expiry date for each one.
This doesn't include the resource stuff etc. As Ivain stated!

Comment below thoughts.

A number of the warnings are meant for offenses that we consider dire to the point where if we DID make them expire, the minimum expiry date would be like 5 years, sometimes even 10 or more.
As such, the current warning system seems perfectly fine. It's very possible to be active on this site for a long time and never acquire enough points for even the first suspension.

Funnily enough, both users that disagree happen to have a lot of warning points that don't expire, and have accumulated enough for at least 2 suspensions. I wonder why they disagree with me....

Btw, see my next post for a new statement.

Now, the problem with this suggestion is that it suggests ALL warnings should expire. Warnings for resources containing stolen content and similar serious transgressions will NEVER be set to expire, unless they're somehow proven false after being given.

If you had suggested some of the lesser warnings (such as for bumping or necroposting) were made to expire, I would be able to agree with you.

I have 10 points for buying who used to be my friend premium because his paypal didn't work ( his paypal didn't work so he paid me $10 and I got him premium ). It's been a few months and I don't see any reason as to why that can't expire. It just bothers me ;-;

One time I got a warning to not say just "glws" and well. They weren't warning points, just a little tap on the back saying "hey don't do this". I got the message and didn't do it again. If I were given warning points the same thing would have happened, but I'd have this thing on my profile that reminds me of that one mistake I made.

A variation of this suggestion has been made recently and moved to pending.

We're basically never going to make all warnings expire. It's important that we have many of our warnings never expire for the ones that have done real damage, but I do agree that we should make a few more warnings expire.

Since a variation of this is pending, I'll move this to denied.

Thanks for the suggestion.
