Make Death Threats a Suspend

Before i start, this hasnt been posted before. They suggested it should be a ban.
I think death threats should mean a player gets suspended for a certain timeframe.
This is to stop toxicity etcetc

Let me know what you think

It annoys me how people think 'kill yourself' is a death threat.

Have had this from players and have not been caught yet. All you can do is negative rep them or devouch. When people suggest death threats, some people go with it and actually kill themself. A friend in real life was secretly bullied and was told to kill himself through texts, and he hung himself an hour later.

There's a phrase for when people suggest death threats, it's suicide encouragement.

True. But he has a point, technically "kys" and "kill yourself" etc. is suicide encouragement.
Death Threats is more of "I'm going to kill you" or "I'm gonna murder your family" etc.

I hate to say this but this is the internet. If you aren't mature enough to take things into consideration and not let a freaking marketplace affect you emotionally, you aren't mature enough to be here. Leave so you don't die on us.

I know Shortninja on spigot was announced to have committed suicide and I am surprised today when I checked on my profile that he commented there, and when I checked his profile so many RIP comments and sympathetic notes. I don't know if he committed suicide due to the things on the internet but that is one thing that will always be present. Death threats will always be a thing, toxicity as well. you can't strictly define a rule to punish people who use these as jokes or common phrases. We might as well punish people who fucking swear because it can trigger some people and make things toxic.

Just be mature, don't take everything thats said on the internet especially on a marketplace forum word for word face value. If you're emotional, suicidal, depressed, or something of that nature, its best you take a walk outside or get off the web for a while and cool yourself off get your shit together and function like a normal human. I've been in depressing situations before, I've told people over skype that "I'm having a rough time, sorry I will be inactive a while" and luckily my contacts understand and let me have my space. I come back when I'm ready so don't say that I'm writing this "rant" post because I'm toxic. I've been there before, frustrated at how my life is and some words on the internet do trigger me, but I am better than that and have learned and will keep learning to control what I feel from text that appears on a screen.

I get tired of having to see toxicity and knowing nothing will be done about it. Users should feel welcome here, not worried someone is going to come treat them like shit. I don't care if this is the internet. I get tired of having to say "It's the internet that's just how it is.", you know? We need to increase punishments on toxicity/death threats/harassment/etc. It'll never stop unless we do something to make it stop. We can make this a pleasant community and remove those who intend to ruin it. We have no need for those users in general.

Yes let's increase punishments of this, tired of this site's toxicity.

I think death threats specifically, if there is no clear indication that it's meant as a joke, should indeed be 10 warning points (which would take you from 0 to first suspension, or from first to second)
that way you can still kid around if you use something like an emoji or (jk), without it choking anyone.

Just because it happens a lot on the internet does not mean that death threats should not be taken seriously.

If you are older than 10 you wouldnt get offended so i dont think some 13 would

1 - Makes McMarket look bad
2 - Its really annoying having too deal with it, my friend sdagfsag had this thread trashed and PM's spammed with "Kill Yourself".

All you can do is neg rep them, which they'll do back ruining both sides rep. Just make it punishable.
