Im pretty fucking sure that's what tropicai is doing right now.wait are you saying if i were to be a scammer, i could get 50 or so cracked accounts of whatever website, give them out as "vouch copies" for lowkey rep, then use that quickly-acquired rep and exit scam, then rinse and repeat?!
Now I wish even more you didn't leave the staff team.I suspect that Mod #1 who did your reports actually looked at them and has more experience and that Mod #2 either did reports quickly without looking them or has little experience (or both).
“9.4 Do not use reputation as a currency, reward, condition, incentive, punishment or deterrent.”
“You gave me this free item? Let me reward you with this +rep!”
Free item for rep = using it as a currency, and that is why I would always remove reps like the ones mentioned in this thread. Doesn’t matter whether or not the rep was asked for, if someone gives you something for free and you voluntarily give them rep, you’re essentially “paying” them in rep rather than $, therefore meaning it’s being used as a currency. The same can be applied to it being used as a reward.

Lack of consistency among staff members due to them having different interpretations of rules is a severe issue and it needs to be addressed. Adding scenarios and examples to the handbook could help potentially. It’s important to realize this and act upon it rather than ignore it/not do much. But unfortunately this seems to be the case with site problems lately.
I see multiple threads like these a day. I wrote about this in a past post. When BeBosny “owned” the site, threads like this would pop up rarely and the community would take the side of the staff team. Now there are multiple threads like this a day and it’s the users who are right and are rightfully addressing problems which should be fixed but aren’t. And BeBosny himself pointed out that many addons are outdated by multiple versions, name colors STILL aren’t working, when the email server had issues, it took over a week to fix (BeBosny stated an easier fix that would’ve taken less than a day). And I can keep going on and on and on. Such basic problems like this are absolutely unacceptable for a forum of this size. It’s time to start recognizing problems and working towards a solution.
The problems on here are like a wildfire and they are being attempted to be put out with a little watergun. Saying that users are wrong for making threads like these isn’t going to solve the problem.
