Ok so this may either be a very bad or good idea depending on how you look at things or where you stand when making purchases.

I recently had the idea of the mcmarket wallet. This would be very similar to the steam wallet however all payments would be non-refundable when paying other users’ wallets.
This would also help to keep sales and discussions on-site as that is where the transaction takes place. You would be able to withdraw from your mcm wallet and deposit into it as well.

Scam resolvers would be able to view wallet transactions when a scam report came into effect on a user.
You can even sell and buy resources using the mcm wallet. A good business idea is make the ammount depositing into your certain amounts around the price of the premium so if anyone wants that they have to give mcm more money .

Please leave your thoughts below.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I mean fees would be an issue, nice idea. But probably will be denied as of how inactive the owner is.

Been suggested before and was denied. The main reason is, that anyone can just chargeback on mcm.

For example,
If someone purchased $10 MCM wallet money. Then, they bought something and they were poor and needed money. They would just chargeback on mcm and then mcm looses out on $10.

If that makes sense.

Kind regards,

Well how does steam get away with that then?

Steam is a lot bigger than mcm and would be able to afford to lose a bit of money if they lost on the paypal dispute. Plus, Steam would just ban and remove game access so in a way the user wouldn't be able to play the game. At least on here, if the user bought something with that $10 they could chargeback and still able to use the product they bought.

I think the good thing about this is though, mcm only take a small hit and atleast not the buyer or seller. If a user chargebacks a payment into the wallet (deposit) they would be banned from the site.

I personally like the whole concept , but any forum would take a huge hit , lets imagine someone that would deposit $500 to buy a certain item , then he chargebacks it leaving mcm with a $500 stain plus the chargeback fees
But this can only happen with paypal , they can accept bitcoin & payeer

Lets not allow that much then, $50 max?

A small hit... how often? There are many users banned for leaking and charging back against MC-Market. How will MCM cope when all of its money is gone to chargebacks and disputes. Sure, the users will still have their stuff, but what good does it do them with no platform to use it on?

Also steam doesnt get away like that, when you create an account, you agree to their terms and service. Which essentially would allow them to pursue you for that money. If it was enough to the point where it would cause an issue, they could sue you for a large sum of money for it.

I mean... some people on here know law stuff so lets start an army of lawyers on the ppl who chargeback :).
But for real we need a big T&Cs anyway because not that many ppl follow the rules as it is.

That would take only a VPN and a fake paypal to get around. Would be very simple to dodge. If it was a large amount companies like steam have the capability to try and trace people through legal action

Paypal works well if you use it LEGIT. As long as you are 18+, link a bank account, prove your ID you should be good. I think adding a mcm wallet would just not be worth it and would be the same as just using paypal/bitcoin without mcm connection.

And other people talking about legal issues. This is crappy let’s just imagine I didn’t make this post.[DOUBLEPOST=1559131804][/DOUBLEPOST]

In all due respect, if you actually somewhat cared for the "general benefit of others" you would "fight" your reasoning. Not just roll over after a few people disagree with your suggestion.
I cant fight it cos they’re right it’s a nice idea but comes with too many problems for mcm.
