On March 2nd, at roughly 1 PM EST, Mojang began removing invalid character accounts. They began with the known "alex invalids", that is, "alex 99", "Alexa 25", "alex clayton", and "alex und kilian". Later the following day, "amjacobs " and "Bas B" were removed. All accounts were changed to similar names, with their name history cleared so there is no record of the invalids existing. The reason for these invalids being changed is currently unknown; considering some accounts were resold, some were inactive, some were outside of the community, and some were active with a single owner, it's unlikely that the reason has anything to do with suspicious activity on the accounts. It's possible that the invalids were manually reported to Mojang staff and deleted as a result, but this hypothesis is unconfirmed.
Our only notable ban this week that is unrelated to scamming is that of ThePhantomDev. You may remember this user for claiming responsibility of the past Mojang lock waves, among other things. He was recently banned for excessive rule violations.

FORMAT: Username - Amount scammed - Details
Darkone - $35 USD - The user sold a $35 steam account to tek over Discord. He blocked tek after receiving the money, and upon the scam reports creation, claimed it was an impersonator. However, as tek added Darkone, and not vice versa, this couldn't be the case. Darkone then changed his Discord profile picture and username/tag to avoid association with the scam report.
Yannick kromer - $35 USD - Shawio sold the user a $35 logo; after receiving the logo, Yannick chargebacked the money through Skrill.
hihihih565 - $7.50 USD - The user bought 3d models from WhiteFlame7, but refused to pay after receiving the finished product.
itsDaze - $185 USD - Tapio loaned Daze $50 for a $70 payback, but was blocked after sending the money and didn't receive his payback. Daze also scammed Agate through a $50 loan (with an unknown payback amount), as well as LoopTurn with a $45 loan (with a payback of $65).
DaddyYurter - $55 USD - Yurter was loaned $50 by Masons Monarch for a $55 payback. Monarch later chargebacked the money, causing Yurter to receive PayPal fees, but continued to ask for the ROI back as well as a late fee. However, Yurter did not pay the ROI or late fees, and was thus banned.
Riskaka - $20 USD - Shawio sold the user a $20 logo; after receiving the logo, Riskaka chargebacked the money through Skrill.
CircusCow - $30+ USD - User bought a website design from pace. As the work was unsatisfactory, he was given the option of a $30 revamp. Once he received the revamped site, he refused to pay.
Ahhhhhh - $250~ USD - Ahhhhhh (a.k.a MailBag) traded his masters division account and level 130 ranked account for a 2011 cape (wSaddPLx) and $40 PayPal from Slip. Upon securing the 2011 cape, MailBag "forgot" the login details and refused to send the masters division account. Later, he pulled the level 130+ ranked account as well.
Ceah - $77 USD - Chxnges purchased a server setup, but was sold a premade server instead. They never received a refund.
Reecepbcups - $25 USD - Xiri purchased server files off of this user, which turned out to be stolen from a leaked resource on-site.
