Hello, and welcome to MCM Weekly, your one stop source for important MCM info! I'm your host, User. This week has been slow in bans (a good thing, I'd suppose), but they are quite interesting. We also have a few accepted suggestions and an opportunity to interview a staff member, so begin!
Two well-known users have been banned; one for IP logging and RATing?
Both DonCheadle and Ethereal739 have been banned this week. DonCheadle was banned for DDOS threats, as seen in this screenshot. He has created an appeal account though; I'll keep you updated.
However, Ethereal739's ban is definitely more interesting. This user was banned for "TOS Violation (Privacy Breach) (IP Logging) (Including RAT(s) in Resources)", which is very specific. The ban was handed out by thebaum64. However, the weird part about it is that no scam report was ever filed against this user, and no devouchs can be seen on his profile. His most recent (and only) negative rep is from January, from 1337, claiming he "shipped a pterodactyl installation with remote execution functions, extremely invasive logging without permission, joined users to a cluster without consent or permission, among several other things." Nevertheless, it's good that this user is now banned from our community, and will not be invading the privacies of others.
Several suggestions have been accepted!
Mick recently accepted a few suggestions for the site. Although most were already added and the threads suggesting them neglected, a few are new, including improving site security through SSL and banning the practice of having multiple service teams owned by the same "company".
Many high-tier OGs have been listed, courtesy of Doggy Fanpage.
Once again, exoticc has begun selling multiple insane OGs, including but not limited to: Sanity, Depressing, Ink, Zelda, Miss, and Spongebob. Although Ink and Spongebob have already been sold, the other 4 are still up for sale. Go check 'em out!
Capaldi and aliensushi have been promoted to moderator!
Eclipse and aliensushi, two relatively new staff members on the site, were just promoted from chat moderator to full moderator! This means they will be taking on more responsibilities around the site, so you'll be seeing them a lot more often. Congratulations!
