Middleman requirements

Lately, there have been many new members and members with no rep and vouches creating middleman threads and scamming. I've talked to Mick in pms about creating a system where people where you can't create a thread unless you meet those requirements.

Requirements like:
- 6 months of joining
- 15-20 rep
- 500 posts
- 100 reactions

The problem about reputation is that you can get it easily, tell people to rep you for no reason and you rep them back which isn't a legitimate deal.

Your "requirements" won't help at all. All it does is limits who makes the threads. 99% of the community is fucking smart enough to know who to pick as a middleman.

If you see someone with 0 rep versus 15 rep; who do you pick? It's self-explanatory and we don't need a requirement to middleman.

It actually would help very much as people are dumb enough to choose a 0 rep middleman and cry about it. The point of this thread is to reduce scams throughout the community and this one right here is a much needed fix. If you want to shit talk gtfo the thread.

It won't stop scamming, *cough Seb* He was very reputable, and still scammed. I get your point, yeah it limits the chance of being scammed, but it won't affect it very much.

I really don't care if people disagree with me, but you need to understand not everyone is like us, many people are retarded and choose some dude that joined yesterday thinking they wouldn't scam and they get upset.

Anyone can middleman, just as anyone can offer a service. It's up to the consumer to determine if the person is legit enough.
If you're smart you'll only pick a middleman if he's reputable.
Maybe your definition of reputable is different than mine? Maybe I think 3 months and 100 posts is reputable. And this doesn't apply to just me.

So I've looked through the entire Middleman section, and it appears only 2 users were banned a result of scamming as a MM.

Yes, a few are banned for scamming, but not while they were acting as a middleman. There's also 3 or 4 where the Scam Report is unavailable.

Also notice that Shady2 meets all the criteria you put in. You even said it yourself:

I prefer to deal without a middleman cause its only add a risk to the transaction...

I think I'd rather have requirements to POST threads in the section, much like Private OGs or loans, as it being flooded with new members is annoying as fuck especially when you have to find a middleman quickly
