Not true they cannot just take something you have ownership of, to say this about a minecraft server is also asinine.
Devise

Also, that's like saying since minehq owns kitpvp.com they can take kitpvp.org, kitpvp.gg, kitpvp.us, and kitpvp.de

That you are arguing about it and you posted again on this poor guys thread whereas hes trying to sell a domain and your trying to argue facts.

also, I, like anyone else is allowed to use the reaction system and my reaction when I saw this, was I think this is funny.

I don't really exactly know, but I do know that if a company owns let's say pepsi.com and someone buys the domain pepsi.net then pepsi can either ask for the domain and if they refuse they can take them to court and force them to give it to them.
nope they can only do that if the owner of minehq.cc pretends to be the real MineHQ stealing their art work setup etc etc

Sorry to continue this argument, but I think people are failing to notice that MineHQ owns the "MineHQ" trademark.

I'm not a lawyer or know much about trademarks, but from a simple Google search, it's pretty clear acquiring/selling/using this domain would be shady in the eyes of US Law. Imo it's unlikely they would take action against this, but I'm just pointing out the legality.
  • Has a bad faith intent to profit from the mark
  • Registers, traffics in, or uses a domain name that is
    • Identical or confusingly similar to a distinctive mark
    • Identical or confusingly similar to or dilutive of a famous mark
    • Is a trademark protected by 18 U.S.C.
  • (i) circumstances indicating that you have registered or you have acquired the domain name primarily for the purpose of selling, renting, or otherwise transferring the domain name registration to the complainant who is the owner of the trademark or service mark or to a competitor of that complainant, for valuable consideration in excess of your documented out-of-pocket costs directly related to the domain name; or
  • (ii) you have registered the domain name in order to prevent the owner of the trademark or service mark from reflecting the mark in a corresponding domain name, provided that you have engaged in a pattern of such conduct; or
  • (iii) you have registered the domain name primarily for the purpose of disrupting the business of a competitor; or
  • (iv) by using the domain name, you have intentionally attempted to attract, for commercial gain, Internet users to your web site or other on-line location, by creating a likelihood of confusion with the complainant's mark as to the source, sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement of your web site or location or of a product or service on your web site or location.
Pretty much if this domain was purchased in bad faith, and the buyer knew that the domain was trademarked and intended to profit in some way by purchasing this domain, it's illegal. OP knew this so what he's doing is likely illegal, or like I said above, shady.

I doubt MineHQ affiliates would take any action against server's using "KitPvP" since it's such a broadly used term, but it is a registered trademark.

The thing about this is that minehq can take this domain anytime because of laws. I would say it's worth $5 max.
