Probably going for the more bigger servers (Such is Hypixel, Mineplex, Arkham etc), and later on maybe smaller servers

This is going to end badly because...

Large servers won't comply.
Mojang will shut them down.
Players will get angry.
Players will harass and protest Mojang.
Mojang loses players/customers.
Mojang runs out of business.
The end.
No not large server like mineplex and hypixel maybe CubeCraft, Since all their work is from scratch.

If they don't comply, legal action will be taken. I doubt they'd risk that.

On the english speaking minecraft market everything works with money. Look at this forum!
If noone gets donations from a server (and they won't get much if it isn't pay2win), why sould someone pay for builders, devs and advertising? Doesn't make sence at all. And if Mojang really force the eula, there will be big changes in the community.

I doubt they are going to go after all the servers. Only ones that enter the public spotlight, are reported by a number of players or are REALLY obviously pay2win will even be considered. How many servers are there currently online? a few thousand? mojang don't have the resources or the inclination to check each and every one of them. Any server that's a "maybe" will probably be ignored.[DOUBLEPOST=1456339293][/DOUBLEPOST]

On this website, things are about money, yes. You know why? because this is a marketplace. It is meant for buying and selling. If you go to PMC, you'll see there is much less money going on. Why? because they enforce their no commercial posts rule. A while ago a contest that offered IRL money got removed. Everything like that gets removed after a while.

And it is still possible to get donations, or even make money. Let's say donations drop by half. Then you can start having servers that require payment to enter. A small demo server will go up, with a small and simple version of the gamemode set up. Then the large and extravagant server will require you to pay a small sum to enter.

As far as I know, this is allowed by Mojang's eula, as long as they are fully separate server instances. Yes, it will mean a drastic change in gamemodes, but people will still be willing to pay for builders.
as far as I have read the EULA, mojang is cracking down on F2P but P2W servers. Servers that pretend to be free, but require 'donations' to actually make headway or stand a chance in minigames or gamemodes in general.
