Hi, I'm Tjay and I am going through a tough time. I need motivation and advice to get in to shape. I am chubby and I want to get to a more lean frame so I can feel more confident. I currently weigh 184.4 lbs and I am 6'1. My goal weight is 170 lbs. Any words of advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Well, losing weight is all just calories in and calories out. To lose weight you need to eat less than your body burns (just not to an extreme level, and this should probably be something you should talk to a doctor about rather than getting information here to be honest). Technically someone can lose weight eating shit; I'm talking about just eating mcdonalds or food fromother fast-food chains, as what matters is the calorie amount of the food and how much your body burns per day. The problem is that it's not healthy in any way, and being lean while having many health-problems due to eating bad food is just not worth it. I think that a good way to lose weight is see what foods you really like and find it hard to live with out and if they're bad/unhealthy then eat them in smaller portions. BTW you don't need to follow any specific diets and all of that is bullshit (in the sense that many diets out there are very specific with foods and are unrealistic to follow through with them for a long time), sure it may work to follow a specific diet, but the reason why it works is because of calories in and calories out, you might be following the best diet in the world, but if you're eating more food than your body burns you're going to gain weight.

One last thing, losing weight is hard, mainly because of you may have to deny eating certain foods at times, but everyone can do it if they put their mind into it. Personally when I was losing weight (which I should probably get back to it lmao this quarantine has made me put on a few pounds) the hardest times were just when it was 3 am and I was really hungry and I had to deny to myself eating that croissant or that left-over Panda Express or whatever, but you can do it! :D
