Then start it with debug mode on,
Then pastebin the results, and post it here.

Did you restart the daemon after modifying multicraft.conf? To restart it do /home/minecraft/multicraft/bin/multicraft -v restart assuming you installed it on the default folder.
EDIT: Just replace -v with -nv if you want debug mode.
