Pterodactyl.
Why?[DOUBLEPOST=1525171194][/DOUBLEPOST]
I'm using pterodactyl at the moment with Dann host pebbles hosting. The issue is pterodactyl causes issues with starting up the server where itself checks files wasting time. I had my server with around 15Gb of size take around an hour to start up. They are switching to multicraft because the GUI seems to be better, fewer issues and there are some apps dedicated to it. I'm using IOS at the moment on an phone 6 and there is an app called Mobilecraft which I cannot wait to use
Thanks for the information

Pterodactyl has more features, uses containers (which is a big plus), is open-source and easier to customize.
Additionally, I simply like the administrative aspects of Pterodactyl and the overall structure.

Please do note that it still has a few bugs, which you will not have when using Multicraft but keep in mind that it is a free, open-source project that people work on in their free-time.

Pterodactyl, Working amazing with my API's, More features, free so if you are a hosting you can make cheaper plans and it uses containers.

Also multicraft is cheap in front of what it offers

Pterodactyl, I usually like to experience free to reduce cost of spendings. At first it took me about 48 hours, now it takes an hour or less to setup.

Pterodactyl also has a good discord support team and community, just remember OpenVZ, Virtuozzo or LXC things may not work as expected.

Personally for free Pterodactyl is a good panel, sometimes loading server's is a pain in the arse but yes it does work. Multicraft seems to be getting to old and I am starting to feel like it has been given up on, In my opinion XenoPanel is one of the best. It comes with a mod manager, backup system and so much more for servers. and its like $5 per daemon, and has a lot of updates which can help admins and customers.

Multicraft I'll explain why here,

All of the users above haven't run the panel on a large scale at all, the amount of issues with it, unfixed bugs and broken sections is unprecedented. The development of the panel has slowed down recently on top of all of that.
Yeah sure, the panel might look nicer but are you going to sacrifice a nice looking panel and in turn get a broken half developed panel that breaks half the time?

Now my experience may be different, most pterodactyl users only run a few nodes if only 1, so I've run into errors they've not yet encountered, but with time they will encounter them and see the problem, Here are just a few of the many issues you may run into;

Stuck on installing, PLTD, Void worlds, FTP Errors, Mismatch ID Token for FTP, Server Stuck on Attaching, Failing to rebuild containers.

Hope this helps, as of right now my host uses pterodactyl and we will be switching to multicraft due to all the issues above within the next month, speaking from the largest user of the panel it's 100% not worth the few benefits it has over multicraft.

I can agree with you but pterodactyl is still always a good luck as you can also customize it. A lot of the errors are quite easy to fix. Multicraft takes years to fix bugs as well and the support can take weeks to get something resolved. That’s my statement of my views/points.

A lot of the errors are quite easy to fix.
Regardless, You can't keep patching something over and over for thousands of servers. - You can only patch a hole in a boat so many times before the integrity of the boat starts to break and eventually it sinks.
The thing with Multicraft is correct their support may be slower, But you don't need to really use it as everything works fine afaik.

pterodactyl is still always a good luck as you can also customize it.
Having something open source and customisable doesn't make it worthwhile when the basic functionality of the project is not fully working.

Bearing in mind we use neither, I personally would still pick Pterodactyl over Multicraft.

On a feature showdown alone, Pterodactyl wins hands down with it's better looking panel, container deployment and the ability to support more than just Minecraft.

As other people have mentioned here, Pterodactyl does have some stability issues, but that's what happens when you run a beta version of any software in a production environment. Multicraft on the other hand has literally years of stability behind it, but that will likely happen with Pterodactyl in an equal amount of time.

Can the problems in Pterodactyl be fixed? Yes.
Will they be fixed fast? Probably not.
Are the Devs slowing down? Maybe a little, but otherwise no. There's a significant difference in the addition of new content and the optimization of currently in place code.
What would I use in a business use-case? Multicraft.
What would I use in a home lab, MC network or something else? Pterodactyl.

Hope I was somewhat informative.

Multicraft is pretty customizable, its front end isn't obfuscated and uses Yii. Anyone with a decent bit of experience can add quite a lot of features, including theme modifications if desired.

Petro for small servers, Multicraft for multiple nodes. I've used Multicraft since 2012, development may have slowed but it's the best panel for large setups imo.

I would like to react to the following Quote's

So true, My clients were experiencing the same issues. NOTE! I got OpenVZ working on Pterodactyl and they said remove it or we will cancel supporting you, That's not how a company normally offers support.

Pterodactyl, Working amazing with my API's, More features, free so if you are a hosting you can make cheaper plans and it uses containers.
**cheaper plans** Kuch kuch, Look at pebble hosting they still can run their servers. for $1 and now on Multicraft. I don't see the issue in cheaper plans, People like to pay for reliability and security. Multicraft offers just that.

Pterodactyl.
Pterodactyl has more features, uses containers (which is a big plus), is open-source and easier to customize.

As noted before by Teconica, They will prob don't fix their security issues. It isn't a very safe panel if you don't secure your .env file and they don't tell you how to secure it in their documentation, Luckily I knew that I needed to secure that file. The only thing they care about is to add new features asap and let them be broken for the rest of the panels life.

NOTE! This is my opinion, You may hate me or like me. But I am with Dann and Teconica
