I have been producing music for almost over 3 months now. I have had thoughts of one day (after honing the art of music)I would make music production a full-time career. However, after reading a few articles about failed music artists i lost hope..and i quit.....
Iam confused if this was a good or a bad idea
Heres my channel (Give a listen)
I would highly appreciate anyones opinion on this

Never quit your dreams; money can't compare to the joy you'll experience when you create your first composition. Music doesn't have to be a career for you to produce it. I've invested $2k into music so far, and I've been doing music for 6 years. I've enjoyed moments, and I've hated others, but I will never regret getting to where I am now because of the awesome people it's allowed me to meet, and the awesome gifts that I've been given that I've been able to share.

I took a listen to "Going Down", and overall I can give some constructive feedback:

The introduction:
The kick really punches through the mix, and it sounds really well mixed. Really nice work.
The guitar doesn't sound quantized; I would improve this in future mixes. I'm guilty of this in some of my songs as well; there are exceptions with quantizing, but it depends on the vibe you're going for.

The drop:
The vocal chops seem like they could "fit into the mix better"; I think maybe some compression, EQ'ing, and some playing around with the stereo shaper could improve them. (Just my personal taste).

Other thoughts:
I think the snare needs more punch; I'd add a transient shaper on the snare.

When the strings come in, I think they're nice, but as they came into the drop, it seemed a little harsh on the dynamics; I think it could have been more smoothed out.

Overall though, the vibe is really nice. I think taking out the guitar or something to give people a feeling of "missing the guitar", would provide a more enjoyable experience. It's a really nice guitar melody but after a bit it sounds repetitive. Leave small surprises for the listener, while sticking to the overall theme.

Awesome work, and if you need more comments on other songs, please feel free to message me at anytime!

Than you so much man, I really appreciate your feedback on this, and yes I don't quite understand the mixing concept and therefore end up with badly mixed songs, man thank you so much, your opinion is exactly what I needed to have a fresh restart.
