DON'T TRASH THIS THREAD

NO I CAN NOT GET A PROVIDER LIKE XFINITY, DISH, DIRECT-TV

So I am going to describe my current situation to start this off, and make everything as smooth going as possible.

- Currently I am using a phone hotspot through Verizon (Have been for over 5 years)
- I can only get one provider where I live (HughesNet)
- Current ping avg: 300-400
- Current download avg: 1.2 - 3.6 mbps
- Current upload avg: 0.06 - 0.09 mbps
^^
These tests were executed at 11PM (Better speed at night when family is asleep)
When it comes to gaming on Minecraft. Its playable sometimes, there is always some form of delay whether its half a second, or 2 minutes.
When I attempt to play a more fast paced game such as CS:GO I rubber band like a b**ch. To anyone who isn't used to it. They'd probably want to throw their computer. Kinda just annoys me anymore, at this point I've learned to deal with it.

So the reason I went into detail as I did above was because I know satellite internet (HughesNet's) has downfalls as well. I know that there is multiple signals sent back and forth to get the internet connection to your router. So with hughesnet what I've noticed from other peoples reviews was that they average 600-900 ping. But it was stable, what I mean by stable is that they didn't rubber band nearly as much as I do. They also had muchhhh faster download speed and upload speeds than I do.

So you guys tell me.. Should I stick to Verizon hotspots.. Or should I go to satellite. (Hughesnet Gen 5)

If you have any questions to ask me, ask away! And to all of those who want to be a-holes, from the MC community, please leave this thread.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Ah sorry just saw the title, but I agree with Forodin. I think that you should just stick with Verizon because it will cover phone + internet instead of paying for something separate.
All good, my whole deal is I am just entirely sick of lag, and the inability to download programs.

Well, the question is how much are you willing to pay? For the best latency, obviously you should use Verizon, satellite latency is garbage, but mobile data tends to cost more than satellite data even

Price isn't really a factor tbh. I absolutely need better internet than what I currently have. With Verizon I use upwards of 400gb a month, so in return they slow my internet down to the point I can hardly watch a video in 144p.

Do you have a discord? I want to help you out but talking on a forum is rather tedious.
