Like, what if I was to get the step ups from what I currently have and keep the AM3 sockets going? Rather than going to an AM4 which will be a bit more than i am looking to spend as of right now.

You don't need a specific GPU. All GPUs work with all motherboards. It's just the processor, motherboard and RAM that's the problem.

Also, AM3 processors are pretty out-dated. I don't recommend it.

So all said and done, if I were to go to AM4 roughly what would it cost for all the stuff that I need to get to make it all run and work just fine? (The cheapest I can go if possible).

Where do you live? Not asking precisely, just need the country to get accurate results.

Ryzen 7 1700x - $150
8gb DDR4-2400Mhz - $63 - link
Motherboard - $50 - link

$150 + $63 + $50 = 263
300 - 263 = $37 left over.

Sell old motherboard, CPU and ram and GPU as used on eBay or other auction websites (you're not going to use them anyway)

Use profit + $37 to get new graphics card on eBay (maybe 1050/1030 due to the price mark/reducing)

What could I get out of the current stuff that I have? Obviously not a whole lot, but a rough estimate?

Can't tell you without knowing the actual specification. You would need to find that out yourself and if you give it to me I can give you a rough appraisal on the basis of researching on sites such as eBay.

I put a post in the thread of my stuff. It was a gyazo link but here it is again. IDK exactly what the ram is, however that is the processor and gpu, as well as the motherboard is an ASUS something. I think it is the directx 10 support one

Ah my bad.

For the GPU you mentioned and it looks like it is no longer in production due to the age. As much as age is problematic in GPU when selling, but something this old can be an antique item and could be worth more money than it can be possibly worth. I would say $40 but cannot guarantee it.

CPU could go from $25 to $40.

RAM could go for $30.

Motherboard could go for $25 but due to lack of knowledge on the exact specification I can't provide an actual appraisal.

Then you would have fees with PayPal and eBay. If you're lucky to have this amount you would have estimately:

$95/120% = $80 + $37 = $117 = total = best option

$80/120% = $67 + 37 = $104 = total = least best option

Can't provide accurate information but this is what I'd say you're looking to spend at the end of the day on a new GPU for that system.

What you can get with both options:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gigabyte-G...OSwC~Bb4sY2:rk:2:pf:1&LH_BIN=1&frcectupt=true - depending if you want to buy from eBay sellers.

Hopefully this is helpful info for you.

I’d suggest you save up 200$ more, making it 500$ budget for the upgrade, and grab some quality components.

I currently have a AMD Ryzen 2700x with a Gigabyte Aorus gaming 5 X470, just find the right chipset for the 1st gen ryzen and you should be fine :) As for graphics card, I'd suggest a Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, or 3GB like I have but my CPU is the only reason my PC survives with that card.
