I would prefer that the parts be new, however if they are gently used and well taken care of I would consider if the price is cheaper.

You could get a good used parts and put them together for not a lot of money and would get you much better performance than new for the same price, but you lose on warranty etc

Processor seems to be fine, same for the motherboard. Could we get pictures to see their current state?

I am not able to take pictures as they are inside of my tower and I do not have a glass window on the side :p

They are in considerably well condition for their age, however here is my issues.

MC crashes a lot.
My PC restarts itself on its own when I run MC from time to time, and I get the error "Thread Stuck in Display Drive once in a blue moon. I also get something along the lines of a billion red and blue dots on the screen and my whole system needs restarted. So, I assume this is all caused from old age. I updated the GPU drivers, and it does not happen as often anymore, but does still happen from time to time.

I plan to be buying everything in March, so pick things accordingly. If you feel waiting till a later date would be better let me know as I am unsure as to when new things will be coming out etc.

Disregard everything said on this post if you're not buying everything until March. A lot of new hardware can come out anytime and until you're ready to buy it is then better to ask for advice. As MrShawn has already stated, Ryzen 3000 series is coming out very soon, and Intel can do something to compete that later on within the year for example. Not good to ask opinions now imo especially when prices are fluctuating so much between GPU and RAM so much.

Certainly get that, however I want to get an idea of what is what now, so I can price things accordingly when I am ready to buy it all.

Ah so the processor and the rest is half fried. You can keep the ram, should totally be fine. As for the motherboard, cou and gpu, let’s find a replacement.
Considering you have no glass windows, we can get the ugliest components out there.

Minecraft is a cpu game, the AMD processor can handle perfectly minecraft to above 200 frames.
Cs:go is a regular game, that MSI GTX 1060 6gb will totally rock it.
Motherboard: my second favourite brand: gigabyte. True power for such price.
And I thought I’d throw in a 8gb ram stick because who has only 8gb in a computer. Eww.

I can keep the ram even if I have AM3 sockets? Looking to go to all AM4 sockets.

Depends on the model of the ram. If it’s ddr3 that could be an issue, but otherwise you can stick to 8Gb. Do you have a cpu cooler?
