Network idea - Please Read and Give Feedback :)

Hello everyone!​

Me and my partner came up with an idea for a minecraft network, to bring lots of servers together who may not have gotten noticed before. We will host the bungee, and the Hub. And than ask other experienced people to join us. We will host the server that this person wants to create, all they got to do is create it. You will be given full access to that server as it is your server. you will be named Owner on that server but that server only. You will receive the donations for your server, but we take a cut (because we are hosting it and going to advertise it). You will required to create the server under the networks name.

Perks doing this with us:
[+] You will be getting more player flow due to other servers being on the network as well
[+] You will get to be part of a experienced team to work with
[+] The networks staff team will assist you in running and up-keeping your server
[+] You get hosting for almost free to you

Down side of doing this with us:
[-] You don't get 100% of the donations
[-] You have to use our name and style

The cost to join the network is $50 (One time). Additionally we will take 25% of the donations your server makes (This is negotiable)

The reason for asking you to pay for this, is that your server will be hosted on our dedicated machines, and they cost money to run monthly. Also the Monthly costs will go to advertising, and keeping the machine alive. We are looking for around $30-40 a month. This will go to what is mentioned above.

Things you should know:
- In order for your server to be successful you will also have to do some advertising of your own.
- We cant guarantee that your server will be successful on our network, it is all about how well you make it, and how well you do additional advertising.
- If your server is not meeting our expectations, we have the right to ask you to leave the network. This is to ensure that the network won't be filled up with bad servers that is making other server look bad.

Like i told you ingame - This is my Factions server i planned on launching, and never did. That server and website have almost nothing to do with this Network idea.

It is a server i created, than came up with this idea for a network. Again, it has nothing to do with this idea. This idea for this network was sparked today.

Sorry to trash here but it seems pretty mad.
For this example i'll use 2 Servers and the Network.
So Server A Joins the network and would end up providing around ~95% of the Player base.
For this they would have to pay Rylan 25% of their donations plus the hosting bill thats $40/mo (Yes they wouldn't have an external one)

Now lets add Server B Into the network, Now the PB Is a rough split of around ~47% To server A ~47% To server B and ~6% From the network. In this model Rylan would be providing around 6% of the PB For a fee of $40/mo ontop of the 25% Buycraft.

From this example its fairly clear that for a minimal percentage of the PB Rylan would be getting a considerable proportional of money. Now my main point is that the 2 servers would be just as good to create their own network between them if they wanted to and pay for a small Hub and Bungeecord between them (Probably $8/mo at most). This way they would both share the PB and would still keep 100% of their Donations and if both servers were roughly the same size then they would be contributing around 50% each into the PB, So would take around 50% of the final takings.

Now, one bonus that i can see is that the advertising is paid as more of a bill, So collectively between all the servers they may be able to afford more expensive advertising although by having more servers in the network, you then need more players to fill those servers otherwise you're going to end up with 5-6 Players per server, They will then end up getting bored as its so quite on each server therefore leaving.
Hopefully this made a bit of sense and again, Sorry for trashing but i think it needs to be said that Rylan would end up managing the Hub and spending the money without actually putting work into the servers that are behind the network (The owners would).

Bottom line, this is a bad idea. So i might just drop it as everyone thinks its a bad idea, thanks for all the feedback. This project is probably officially done unless some people come to me with an offer of some sort.
