I'm assuming he's going to register it as a company though, as he'll essentially be selling a product.

P.s. What's stopping your staff from doing well, something like this:
!take (amount) from (anybody)
!give (amount) to (alt account of the staff member)

What's stopping you from cashing out, leaving with everyone's money?

Technically, nothing. There isn't any guarantee that you can trust me or the rest of Rift. I've got a clean record with no scam reports and Ted is a fairly reputable member. If you don't trust us, that is your choice and I will not make you use it.

I mean it’s a cool idea to have a centralized economy that can be controlled to prevent scams. The only downside that I see to this is finding genuinely trustworthy people to handle the responsibility of running such an operation. The Scam Resolvers on here don’t even have the ability to directly control funds during a scam report, I’d honestly be a little scared if they could.

It will be very tightly regulated. At launch, I will probably be the only one with that power while we work out any bugs or issues that might occur

It may be a short amount of time but it's some small protection to ensure our future, because this may and will inevitabley die and we don't want people with coins from years ago coming up to us

Just make sure you cash them out before then or spend them all on something whether it be donations or buying things.

also we're gonna have to put all our trust into you, you basically have full ownership of all the funds gone into your coin, and as Sloth said this could be abused and if not owned by a reputable, trusted person everyone who uses this coin is fucked, so how can u assure that the ownership will always be in a trusted person's hands
