I would like to suggest to add a new rule for builders specifically for those people who sell their builds non-exclusively so they are forced to clearly state (maybe with prefix) in thread that build they are selling is non-exclusive.

I believe many sellers might not like this suggestion but let me explain why i think this is needed and if you still disagree please post your opinion.

For the past few months non-exclusive builds are thriving and almost seems like 30% of builders here are offering some builds non-exclusively but not all of them clearly say that it's non-exclusive in fact there are only few people who make it clearly understandable...most of the rest sellers just put up link to 'Sellfy' page and call it a day. Multiple times i have confronted sellers asking them to clearly clarify if build they are selling is exclusive or not and to add appropriate description (although i don't do it anymore since most of the time it's useless) But not all sellers agree to do it...in most cases reply i get is along these lines: "If it's being sold on Sellfy then of course it's non-exclusive and everybody knows that so there is no need for extra description" This statement is absolutely wrong! Many people who are new to MCM and sometimes even to whole 'build/building' market don't even know that there is such thing as non-exclusive sale.

In the past few months i have spoken to 4 persons who were misled in this way.

Case for pretty much all people who i did speak to where: Purchased build on 'Sellfy' or directly from buyer for very low price ($1-$5) but few days later noticed that build is still for sale. Then he starts to ask questions to seller and answer often is: "I'm selling it multiple times...that's why price is so low" or "it's from 'Sellfy' therefore it's non-exclusive, you should've to know that" ..."And also my TOS states there will be no refunds".

You might say buyers should fill scam report but in reality most server owners don't want to spend their time on report for those few $...especially if person just joined MCM.

So i'm suggesting to force every person who are selling build non-exclusively to put clearly visible text: "This build is being sold non-exclusively". Or at least add appropriate thread prefix.
This would make life for new members a lot easier and would prevent many unneeded misunderstandings.

Thank you

"it's from 'Sellfy' therefore it's non-exclusive, you should've to know that"
If this isn't common sense, then idk... Same with resources.. Obvious they aren't exclusive.

For you, me and most of older members yes it is but not for people who just joined mcm or simply don't use it so often.

As stated on thread: "If it's being sold on Sellfy then of course it's non-exclusive and everybody knows that so there is no need for extra description" This statement is absolutely wrong! Bit like saying if the build is exclusive, they must state that.[DOUBLEPOST=1471977021][/DOUBLEPOST]But other than that, good suggestion.
I like the detail you've included.
Thank you.
Since building market is mostly about exclusive builds i believe the best thing we should do would be to force only non-exclusive sellers to properly describe their build/way of selling it. ...I believe it doesn't take much time to include few extra words in description.

I completely Agree.
I hate searching for builds only to find out its not exclusive.

are there any current examples of problems like this happening?

I believe over the past few months people have learned more about "Sellfy" and all this non-exclusive sale so it's not such a huge issue anymore. But yes people still frequently forget to mention it in the description if build is being sold non-exclusively (there are multiple examples on "Builds" section) but at least they use "Shop" prefix now.

I don't feel this needs to be a rule still. It is not MC-Market's responsibility to limit how you may sell your builds. It is the buyer and seller's responsibility to make sure they both understand the way the build is being sold and will be, not to mention the fact that this would also be difficult to moderate.

I summed up my thoughts here.

Denied, thanks for your suggestion.
