Please mind my grammar as I am on my phone. I was thinking that perhaps mcm needs a better vouch system. If you disagree with what i have to say, please dont hate and tell me why the idea doesnt work. Thanks.
Objective-replace the current repuation system where only certain aged accounts can add or minus rep another page. This doesnt represent the amount of transactions or market activity of a user, but rather their personality as a whole. Vouches right now are shown on profiles, but its hard to see exactly how many there are unless you scroll through and take your time to view it (the comments). Also, some users just give vouches for vouches in return, or just because a user is friendly or cracks a joke. I believe that a vouch should not be given if a user is friendly, but rather if they are trustworthy and efficient sellers or buyers. This way if theyre capable of buying and selling, it automatically displays all the qualities (kindness, quickness, helpfulness, etc.) they have.
How it works-There is a vouch button on someones profile that you can or should only click once a transaction is completed. Once one party does this, it shows as pending for them. Once the other party does it back, then the vouch counter on both profiles goes up by one.
Why its better-isnt it easier to just go to someones profile and see a big number that displays their successful transactions? Now, Reactions dont mean anything in reality, its just another reflection of how much controversy a user is involved in the forums.
How to prevent abuse-the pending vouch doesnt show up for the other person. Until both parties accept, the counter doesnt increase. Any pms asking to boost vouches will be able to seen by moderators, and reviewed accordingly.
Note that im not asking to remove the comments, that can be used for a more in depth review of a person in general. I want to remove the reputation system, its not even used that much anyway. Negative rep isnt needed. Scammers will be banned in the end so it doesnt matter...
