Hello folks,
As you have probably noticed, we’ve made a few changes around here. The purpose of this announcement is to inform you of those changes.
The resources systems has been updated.
The Resources section has changed slightly. We recently fixed up the issue prevents members from adding prices to their resources. Premium and Supreme members can now add prices to their resources again. In addition, resource authors may now add terms and conditions that a member must accept when purchasing their resource.
We’ve added a TeamSpeak integration.
You may or may not have noticed this one. We have a brand new TeamSpeak server that is now integrated with MC-Market website. Members can now link their TeamSpeak identities to their MC-Market account to automatically be given access to the server. If you are an upgraded member, you’ll get access to the appropriate channels automatically as well.
New features added to conversations!
We all know you guys like new stuff. Who doesn’t like new stuff? This round, we’ve added a few features to conversations. We’ve even added a few things just for members who’ve upgraded to Premium and/or Supreme!
All members now have the ability to “Like” conversation messages. You can use this feature however you’d like with other members. You can use it in a group message to indicate you have seen the message or you can show appreciation for the message.
For Premium members, we’ve added these perks:
Ratings are now reactions!
Ratings are going away. But don’t freak out! It’s not what you think. All that’s happening is they are being replacing with ‘reactions’. So, it’s going to be the same as before, just with a different name. That’s not so bad, right?
The reason behind this change is that this is exactly how we see the system. Those little icons on each post are ways that you can react to a post. It makes sense to say that you are reacting to a post and not necessarily rating it. When you press the “Funny” icon, you are reacting to the post, not rating it, right? Hence, the change to “reactions”.
With this change, we’ve added a “Disagree” reaction to the list. You should see this new icon everywhere you can react to a post.
Wiki is now a place for articles and tutorials!
We’re opening up the wiki! You read that right. We’re retiring the old “Member Tutorials” forum and moving tutorials and articles to the wiki. This is to allow other members to collaborate on these articles and tutorials and to provide valuable content and resources to our members.
Various articles and tutorials can be written in the wiki. As long as there is good quality content in the wiki, feel free to write about anything you think would be a valuable resource to other members on MC-Market.
Of course, we have established some rules relating to the wiki and it will be closely monitored. Wiki-related rules are listed in section 8 of the Community Guidelines.
Any member that has upgraded their account to Premium or Supreme may edit articles in the wiki. Only Supreme members may add an article to the wiki at this time. We may change this in the future.
Minecraft accounts are no longer allowed.
Most of you already know about this, but just to reiterate, we’ve recently updated the rules to disallow the sale of Minecraft accounts of any kind on MC-Market. This decision was reached based on the issues the sale of accounts has caused and the support from community members when we suggested it (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/81435/).
What this means is that you may not offer to buy, sell, trade, or giveaway a Minecraft account of any form on MC-Market. Doing so will result in punishment going forward. This became effective on March 2, 2016.
Just to clarify, we will not handle any scam reports concerning Minecraft accounts going forward.
Our team is always changing!
Since our last update, Coco, Doge and Jack have been promoted to Moderator and Myiume rejoined the team as a Resource Moderator. morganjp has also rejoined the team, but as a Chat Moderator.
Sadly, Ajdin decided to resign from the Administrator position. He will be missed. However, he’ll still be doing system administration work for us from time to time.
Just a few rule updates...
To accommodate some of the changes, we've modified the rules accordingly. We took the opportunity to update some existing rules as well.
The most important rule change to make note of are that advertising is no longer allowed in the chatbox. The chatbox may only be used for live conversation with other members, not for advertising your product or service. That should be done via a thread in the forums. Also noteworthy are the wiki rules, which will be modified as needed.
I think that about sums up all the changes up until today. If you have any questions about any of these changes, feel free to ask them in a reply to this thread and I will answer them as soon as I can.
That's all for now.

- The ability to set a prefix for your conversation;
- The ability to create filters so that you don’t receive conversations you don’t want; and
- The ability to create conversation participant groups.
